My patience is wearing thin

Everyone is praising 343i for lowering the shop prices from ridiculously expensive to just expensive, I’m just tired of most of the armor being paylocked. If i want a armor set, then i buy the WHOLE thing, not the everything individually whereas it be more expensive than the previous store prices, and that’s not all. I’m sick of desync I’m sick of a broken ranked system, and I’m also sick of forced cross play. I’m considering just dropping infinite entirely

Im not condoning leaving infinite because I really do want this game to thrive. It has the potential to be the best halo in the series. The biggest message we can send to 343, however, is to stop buying and playing. It’s kind of sad, but there’s no other way to get the point across. Its all about numbers and if the numbers drop to 0, things will change drastically.

In the same boat…

The entire existence of the store makes the battle pass worthless. I was super against a battle pass, I just wanted to buy the damn game like I always have, but finally stooped low enough to buy the pass. Immediately regretted it upon seeing Reach armor for sale separately in the store. Now, I won’t be buying the next battlepass.

Sadly, me skipping the next battlepass is eclipsed by a single kid buying a bundle.

Honestly I’m kinda shocked at the overall praise.

Between tripled prices believing there are “20mil” active players, content creators seem like they don’t have much of a grasp on mathematic concepts, and the playerbase that listens seems to be grasping on like it’s gospel.

I bought the pass because I wanted to support this game. I used MS rewards points but still. After purchasing the pass I quickly realized how bone dry it was and that only a few things on the premium was worth it. It feels like a smack in the face. I was on board and ready to support a live service F2P Halo title even if it meant buying a $10 battlepass every couple months. No sweat. I quickly found out how hard we were bamboozled.

Dang! I feel for you.

They will really have to step it up for season 2. Who knows, maybe they actually realized that making season 1 last 6 months would kill the game, and in a month or so they’ll release the 20 cut levels from the battle pass

I feel like the fact we’re getting credits in the Season 2 pass is even more off putting to me. It makes me want to play less. Why is it that those of us who bought the premium BP are being punished for sticking around through all these road bumps?!

343: " We hear you! Thank you for sticking with us! Seriously buy the pass again and we promise it’ll be worth your while in season 2! "

How about no? Throw me a bone. I’ve supported this game through flights, the “beta”, this release and I’ve stuck through during all these hiccups and unfulfilled promises. Why TF am I being punished for that?!?!

We all know the story with the scorpion and the frog. That story pretty much sums up the trust of 343. They are no different from The Coalition from Gears 5. Totally ruined and ruining a franchise that was given to them ready to go.

I feel that. Haven’t touched infinite in weeks. Probably never will again.

Unfortunately some people are just sheep

One step closer to the edge, and I’m about to break

I seriously feel the same way, this game has the potential to be really great but the way 343 is managing it is just so poor that it just flat out makes me mad, especially after all the great things they’ve done with MCC they just did a 180 in probably the worst way possible. I’m just tired of these big companies releasing games so broken and not finished that I think it actually should be a crime like how Battlefield 2042 launched. Granted Infinite isn’t as bad as 2042, but still the amount of things surrounding this game are not ok.

Just to put into perspective, it took Bungie 6 years (Counting development since 2004 after Halo 2) to make Halo 3, ODST, Reach, and provide some oversight for Halo Wars. In the same amount of time 343 has released literally half a game basically that has most of it’s features ripped out to either sell back to the player, or just flat out aren’t in the game to just be released later. Whether games take more to make now or not that is a huge difference!

343 right now should seriously feel ashamed for the absolute disregard towards the players and the game as a whole tbh.

BTB still broken *cough *cough

I drop the game today because of all what you said SubmergedKing and all the other things we complain since december.

but also… the message could be twisted as ‘welp, people don’t care about this f2p game, so let’s drop it, not do anything about it as it isn’t making us a profit, and either drop halo, or start a new game and drop the 10 year live survice for this game’
it really can go either way. 343 may or may not be listening, but microsoft has the final say in things

I wonder if the Halo live-action Paramount+ show is gonna be good?

Next month marks the release of a handful of games I want, and once that happens Halo Infinite is going to hardly get any more attention from me. Then the month after that, more new games release, then after that… more… All year, Infinite is going to have steady competition. Good luck to 343 if this is the pace they intend on working at.

Haha yah I cannot believe anyone would see that 20mil player AD and think that means there’s that many active players at the moment coming and going. This just shows you how we got where we are. People see something online and immediately believe it, or they see/hear something from someone they once/do trust and don’t question it’s merit. But, this exact kind of thinking is what got us the Halo we have now, Yuck.

Doubtful since it isn’t Canon. They will probably Boba Fett it up and make it come PC acceptable sub par experience and ruin characters.

They have already stated its non cannon. I have no doubt its going to be trash, games never translate well to the silver screen. Its just another desperate attempt at milking the franchise dry.

Its so good that the showrunner has already stated he doesn’t want to be included in season 2. Saying that before it airs is basically an admission that its going to bomb.

It really is impressive. Microsoft should make a documentary “Killing Halo: The epic fails of 343”. Id genuinely watch it. Id love to know how you take one of the most beloved franchises of a generation and over the course of three mainline games (that all pretty much launched to criticism) and manage to completely break a port of the legacy games and still somehow keep Microsoft on board.

Honestly, though… after all their failures and zero success’s how on earth do you get an addition half bil for your next project? No seriously how?

Microsoft give 343 a bunch of money, 343 then outsource as much as they can and pocket the rest putting out sub par buggy messes each time. This isn’t a one off. Again… how do they keep getting funded???

You would think microsoft would just cut out the obvious middle man and go direct to the people who are actually putting the work in instead of those poor old guys that have to dress in halo jumpers and peak caps surrounded by cheap tacky nerf guns doing their most unironic not a steve buscemi meme livestream.

Im all but done with the game. I geo fence too so im probably going to be banned for not wanting to play on 200+ ping servers in the upcoming patch. I cant wait to be honest cause I dont have any faith left in 343. They have done nothing what so ever to inspire it.

Halo is dead.

Just drop it and play MCC.
MCC was also broken like this on launch, except without the paywalling.

MCC is just a much more playable game right now, and we can use more people here.

For the record, I think 343 is just testing the playerbase atm. They don’t care about making the store prices cheaper, they care about testing how much can they rip off without -Yoink!- off the playerbase. Make no mistake, they know what we want, they’re just not giving it to us directly in favor of doing tiny tiny changes in order to see if they can hit a sweet spot where they’re still ripping us off but not in a way where the majority of the playerbase will turn away.

But that’s not how things work, and players aren’t stupid. We see this bull happening and we’re much better off all quitting Infinite right now to play MCC while they do their little “tests”

I feel genuinely bad for the devs in 343 who have no say about the pricing and can only come up with compromises and systems, while 343’s marketing team is dumping the goodwill of the player right out the window with every small gain the dev team earns.
