My opinion on Halo 4 (A sin on these forums?)

I can barely read these posts anymore. Holy-attack-halo4-every-chance-we-get-because-we-think-halo3-is-better-batman! Go play halo 3 then. Simple as that. No one feels sorry for you, halo 4 is a dang good game. I’ve been playing since combat evolved, and i gotta say in my opinion, this is the best halo yet. Amazing touching story, spartan ops is pretty cool, it’s like an extra campaign, and multiplier is a blast. Every time a halo game comes out, its better then the last. In my opinion, a true halo fan would say that. A true fan would go with the halo flow. Not every single halo game is going to stay the same, every time a new halo game is released people COMPLAIN COMPLAIN COMPLAIN. I know i’m going to be attacked for my thoughts because it’s a sin on this forum, but i believe that’s the truth. Halo 4 is nowhere near CoD. You’s can all say halo is the new CoD when master chief and your spartan can call in AC-130’s, use silenced weapons, spawn with rocket launchers and snipers, use predator missiles, and drop shot every 5 seconds.

I’m sorry for being negative towards the recent forum status, but i would like to see some positive posts soon. It is making me want to stay away from this forum longer and longer.

I buy Halo for the multiplayer and Halo 4’s is boring. I honestly don’t know how 343 got it so wrong. Halo 3 was a winning formula yet 343 wanted to make COD-Reach.

Oh, you’re absolutely right! It’s so much fun running around with over powered full-autos and auto aim DMR’s! Oh, and the origami vehicles! It looks so pretty when my Warthog blows up over and over again when someone shoots me with a DMR! All those colorful explosions! It’s also awesome when you can just spawn instantly and finish off the jerk who dared to kill you and his shields have not yet recharged! I 100% agree with you! We should all just be happy and hold each other’s hands and dance around the Christmas tree! I mean, we should be happy that we got another Halo game at all!

I really wish that just one 343 employee would get on here and just say “We’re aware people are upset about certain features of halo 4’s matchmaking.” Then everyone can just link to that response and all of these duplicate complaint threads and the duplicate complaining about the complaint thread threads will just eventually disappear (or at least be lessened). What really irks me is that somehow all of these people think that their problem is unique or different or that their solution hasn’t been said 20 times before. I really think all that it would take is just a response from 343 to get this to stop.

I agree, Halo 4 has some Call of Duty elements, but its nowhere near COD

Halo 4 copy and pasted alot of CoD elements, but it still plays like a Halo game. Just, a very broken one.

There is a reason why people are complaining about Halo 4.It if far from the worst game ever made, as some people claim, but it is far from perfect. Imbalance issues,lack of support for the competitive community, the inclusion of ordnance drops and “perks” as well as a lack of communication on 343’s behalf are not sitting well with a lot of people. I find it particularly frustrating because Halo 4 has the potential to be an incredible game, it simply needs some work.

The constant negativity on this site no doubt puts off so many fans from posting and visiting here.

Its literally non stop, some of it is constructive criticism, some if not most of it, is just abusive self entitled petulant moaning and its no wonder 343i do not interact with this community more then they do

There are many issues that need addressing, both in the game, the community and with 343i and MS, but its just a tidal wave of negatives and any positives get washed away so fast its almost pointless posting anything other then a rant or a call to arms to boycott the next game

I see where the OP is coming from, but then complaining about the complainers complaining is never going to work, even if intentions were honourable

Holy sweeping generalizations Batman!

Halo 3 is a better game though for a variety of reasons, like the multiplayer being more balanced and refined.

Even if the game was bad and could be fixed and improved…like EVERY Halo game, sans CE, has had to do? Halo 2 was terrible at first and only improved with time. Same for Halo 3, Reach and, hopefully, 4.

I don’t necessarily believe it is like Call of Duty, but the gameplay itself does not feel like Halo to me. Whereas previous Halos favored balance with everyone spawning with the same weapons and encouraging map control based on weapon spawns, this game favors randomness that can really ruin a good team simply because of luck.

So your solution to get people to post more positive posts is by insulting them and saying they aren’t true Halo fans because they don’t like Halo 4? I hope you see the fallacious logic in that.

343i has dissapointed me greatly but this is still a good game.

That is like saying how funny it was for football fans to continue watching NFL games because they were complaining how bad games were becoming when the scab refs were in place. You can watch and play something yet still levy criticisms.

Your post makes you sound like your a little kid, so let me put this in a way you will understand. Gogo gagah wahwah go wah gah wahwah goga gogo.

Translation: People paid for the game, it came broken with a billions and one glitches. Then they were promised a Halo game. 4 does not play like Halo it plays more like Crysis with COD mixed in. Then 343 has messed up everything after the release too. They released a map pack one month after the game released. The game only shipped with ten maps and two aren’t playable in matchmaking the map pack should have been in the initial launch. Then again the maps suck so maybe they should have just never released them

Then they messed up specializations. There are still a lot of LE owners who still don’t have their codes. That’s just ridiculous. Then they messed up the launch of the map pack. Instead of just admitting they messed up they said they did it on purpose.

With all of that my question is how can you people still defend them? You guys make excuses like it’s their first game but it’s not. Every single member of 343 has helped on multiple games. Then they had five years to make this game. They also had two games in front of them to pull from and one they shouldn’t pull from. Yet, they chose to pull from the one game that nobody liked.

343 could have made Halo 4 great. They could have pulled elements from Halo 2 and 3 and made some good changes and launched not only a great game but a great Halo game. Instead they chose to forge their own path and use things from Reach and COD to make their game two games every good Halo players hates with a passion. Hopefully with this TU coming soon they have realized their mistakes and fix some of the game. I don’t think they will so for me Halo is dead and pretty soon if they continue down this path for the rest of the gaming community it will be dead.

You’re acting as childish as the people who post the hate. You aren’t helping, you’re a white knight and in most cases that’s even worse than the offenders themselves.

Or at least what you’d consider an offender. I have my own reasons for disliking Halo 4. Why bother posting all of it when it’s already been done before?

We’ve seen this thread a hundred times before and we’ll continue to see it. Doesn’t mean you’re right though dude. If Halo 4 is your favorite, go play it. Nobody here cares, but if we want to complain about something it’s our right as a human being to do so. Deal with it.

OP obviously didnt play CE… or maybe he’s talking about campaign only, in which case you cant compare CE campaign with h4 multiplayer…

or you weren’t very good at previous halos multiplayer so you find this h4 dumbed down version suites you better

i just cant see how anyone who would have called themselves “good” in previous halos is alright with this casual game… there is no skill gap for crying out loud!
