My opinion about Halo 5.

So it’s been 7 months since I’ve had this game, I’m spartan rank 139, and almost all of the updates are out, so I think I’m finally ready to put in my 2 cents about the game.

Starting off I will say this is my least favorite Halo to date. It just turned me off with the lack of content, lack of local mutiplayer, a mediocre campaign, a competitive heavy multiplayer, and a buggy REQ system that still effects my gameplay till this day. Now I’m not here to trash this game nor to trash 343, it’s just me getting me getting all my ranting out and anger that I had bundled up all this time. Anyways I tried waiting to give this opinion until all of the updates were released, so I can talk about the updates as well. As for the updates go, they really needed more gamemodes Grifball and Infection are great, but what about the all the gamemodes that have been in the older Halos? Oddball, King of the Hill, Race, Team Doubles, Action Sack, and Team Snipers. I know some of these have been in the game, but we only get them for week. They need to be permanent or Halo 5 will have no replay value in the future. Let’s look at Warzone for minute. It’s new creative gamemode that let’s you use these new upgraded weapons/vehicles. The only problem is that you have these full teams that you get matched up with and they sit there spawn kill you. Tell me how is this “fun” to a solo player? I don’t know what else to do besides just quit and for all who say just find a spartan company to play with. Im in one and no it does not have a lot of people in it. My company consists of people you play Halo for fun and they can’t get on that much and I rather stay with my company and help them get the armor they want then going into anouther one just to get kicked out for no reason. Besides that there are things I do love about this game being the new spartan abilities, the music, the new Infection mode, the kick -Yoink- forge, and the Warzone Firefight beta did tickle my fancy. Other than that I just can’t see me coming back to this game like I do with the other Halos. I got addicted to this game for awhile, got most the REQs I wanted, and even had a little fun with it for awhile, but I think my journey will end after I play Firefight a little bit more and I hope to have a better one with Halo 6.

Lack of content? Do you see the amount of people complaining about all the REQs they need to get? I do agree about a lack of game modes, though; we need more game modes to keep the game fun. Party matching definitely should be a thing in Halo 5: Guardians, but it can’t be; the population is simply too low for that. Besides, the Focused preference kind of helps with that.

There’s a difference between hundreds of reskins and emblems and actual content haha
… On release halo 5 had less than halo 4, reach, 3 and possibly even halo 2 lol

i believe that there does need to be more content yes, the lack of game types is simply boring and cannot go unnoticed, the new revised infection is good and brings back the same results as Halo REACH (i.e. the zombies can apparently throw their energy swords at you or at least it feels this way), but at the same time although it can be annoying it’s also really fun. Major downside is no local multiplayer which I can’t see the reason for to be honest
