My only problem so far is the BR

And it’s not really such a problem as it is me being so damn nit picky.

The burst fire of the BR in the beta sounds like its one big shot instead of 3 different shots in a burst.

Kind of like the halo 2/3/4 BR you could hear every shot with its own sound. with the H5 BR I cant hear it so it makes it sound like a shorter range version of the DMR

Just doesnt sound like the BR.

Other then that Fix MCC 343i so far I like the look of H5 it looks like a return of classic halo with a few additions/changes to bring it more in line with todays gaming.

As much as I loved halo ce/2/3 we can’t have a copy/paste of the same game year after year.

It’s still being built, this might be changed.

My problem is its specific ADS animation. The DMR might as well have no change at all. I can tell that the reticle, the zoom space, and the amount of space the scope takes up is generally the same to Halo 4. In Halo 5 the BR’s scope is more like a reflex/red dot scope, which is fine, but why have it this way? Why not have the scope from Halo 4 and have us zoomed in all the way like the DMR. You don’t even see the DMR when your scoped in so why with the BR. I understand the DMR is a more long ranged preference in Halo, but the BR is still long ranged it sort of defeats the purpose in my eyes to have the ADSesque feature when the DMR hardly has a difference.

Dat color scheme doe

The Battle Rifle’s smart scope in the beta really annoyed me. Its function was fine; what I couldn’t stand was its appearance. In Halo the UNSC’S various assets (such as its ships and weapons) have all resembled polygons (meaning they have distinct edges) while Covenant assets have been more rounded. However, the Battle Rifle’s scope was round. At first I thought it was a Covenant weapon. You may think I’m crazy, but I think it honestly makes a significant difference. That being said I would prefer if the Battle Rifle’s smart scope and all UNSC ordinance for that matter resemble polygons (as they have previously). However, I recognize this isn’t the biggest deal so I don’t expect 343i to make this their first priority.

It’s to differentiate the BR and DMR in terms of range.

I understand that, but it almost makes this ADS stuff kind of pointless. I mean I could tell perfectly the difference between the two weapons in Halo 4 easily in terms of distance. I’m just saying we could bring that new scope closer to the screen and I don’t think it would change much or we could just bring some of these ADS type features out. They’re on LT now so I don’t see how people won’t be hooked on that trigger versus having the option to scope in a strategical way. At least descope is back.

The first two brs had round generic scopes on top of em.

And all the DMR’s in Halo had round generic scopes. Maybe 343 should make drastic changes to the DMR scope too?

i hate when generic is used to describe over used its like when they changed the sniper rifle that in no way looks generic yet everyone hates it some times they make generic looking things because if they make something to out there they will get abused for it.

Well, a rectangular DMR scope would be larger which might be good with Smart Scope.

I would just leave the DMR scope as it is it looks fine but I don’t like the BR scope in Halo 5 its too round for the gun
