This is not a post of me bashing the way the armor looks in this game, in fact I think I’m in the minority when I say that I like the armor in this game more than any other Halo game! The only major complaint I have about Halo 5 is that the only way you can unlock armor is through REQ packs. I miss ranking up to unlock armor, completing commendations, or completing the campaign on legendary. I absolutely hate the idea of getting armor from random drops in REQ packs, you could be an awful player and only open 1-10 REQs and some how get the most legendary armor in the game. Having to unlock the armor shows just how much dedication a player has if they have a super rare armor set or how much work they put in to get Master Chiefs armor from completing the campaign on legendary. I know 343 can’t just go back and change the way we unlock armor at this point but hopefully they will add in new amor sets that we have to unlock from doing some cool and challenging objectives. Anyone else agree?
I had the Master Chief armor the moment the game launched…
It would be awesome to unlock armor from different achievements or even commendations. I struggle with the Req system too because the armor I want is just luck of the draw and there are so many other pieces I have to go through to get it. It creates a reason to play longer but at the same time it can seem like such a stretch goal it may not even be worth playing so much for it. I really want the Locus armor.

Yeah commendations are just stupid af. Why should I care that I got for example AR commendation when all what I get is emblem? “-Hey guys look I got another emblem
