The playlist system have always been a problem in Halo games because they always gather gamemodes well too different.
First, Salyer and Objectives are two mode too much different to be in a same playlist.
Then some playlist have too many gamemodes. It increases the chances to have a mode that we don’t like and it decreases the chances of bumping into those we like
I don’t find normal to select a playlist and don’t know what game we will play. Too many time I select a playlist and hope to don’t fall on some particular game. A lot of people don’t have the time to play many games and wait to find one they would finnaly enjoy.
So here how I think the playslist would be good :

Infinite desperately needs a Match Composer, a revamped point-based scoring system for the social environment (think Halo 4’s scoring system), and a win tally progression rank system for playlists. This will allow people to play what they want when they want, further distinguish the social environment from the ranked environment, and provide players with another incentive to invest time playing the game.
Social Arena only really needs one primary playlist called: Quick Play. With it allow players to select various modes that they may wish to include in their search. 343 should provide some form of indication to the mode that corresponds with the current active Event.

Ranked Arena should feature several options instead of just a couple. Again, allow players to queue up multiple options in their search as they see fit. The only limitations should be per the Fireteam size and the potential skill-difference of team members; particularly, within the HCS influenced playlists. And introduce a playlist rank system that progresses by simply tallying wins. This system would be completely separate from the CSRs. It would act more as a simple XP progression system that’s solely focused on encouraging players to tallying wins.

BTB should include the Neutral Bomb mode, but yet again allow players to select the particular modes they wish to play.

I’m about to give up halo infinite, and it’s not because of the game’s problems, it’s because of the playlist. I’m tired of having to choose between playlists and constantly falling on games that I don’t like. I’m not having fun anymore, it’s becoming a chore, either I play in a mode that I don’t like, or I turn on the console again, I try my luck again and I fall back on a mode that I don’t like
