I am a veteran halo player here to hammer out some things that most people really haven’t pointed out much and I think should be addressed.
The first is that you can spawn with plasma grenades, I really doubt im the only person who gets mad when people sprint up to me and start spamming plasma grenades hoping for a cheap kill. I’m not complaining that it takes no skill or anything but honestly when a good player is going for a good score and that one noob lands 1/4 plasma grenade attempts it really gets to you. They also pretty much completely discourage warthog and ghost usage as people can just spam with plasma nades and destroy something that really should be giving them an advantage. I propose removing them from loadouts or making you only spawn with one(probably the better option).
The second is the boltshot. Obviously the boltshot runs a serious disadvantage against it’s competition for other secondary weapons, but it has got to be the most frustrating weapon in the game and it’s dramatically overabused in regicide, which is my favorite game mode. People just camp as king and boltshot you if you come close or they just run around with a boltshot exclusively and ruin the experience.
The third problem that I have is how unreliable splatters are, i’m going for the verdant visor but it’s completely obvious that splatters are inconsistent and again, very frustrating. The ghost can hit people head on while just a nip of the wing will send your allies flying through the sky and lead to a kick from the game in some cases.
Lastly I have a problem with two weapons- the Spartan Laser and the Railgun. The spartan laser is just stupid, why would something with a charge up and cooldown time with only 4 shots not be able to kill a spartan in one hit? I find that about 50% of the time my enemies just sprint away with no shields even though they got hit a giant laser!
The railgun is hands down my favorite weapon, I love how much skill it takes and how powerful it is, I also love that you can use your binoculars for a scope(pretty fun). My problem isn’t a serious gameplay altering problem as much as just something that just personally urks me, and that’s its travel time. The railgun is a weapon that only works because the projectile travels AT MACH 7, so why would a railgun 500 years from now have a noticeable travel time like this to it? Just really bothers me sometimes.
Thanks for listening and please post your feedback!
