The box said ‘gobs and gobs of hours of illumination.’ False advertising, right?! I’m filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Anybody else in for a class action lawsuit? We could spend more money than we’d ever hope to gain but let those light bulb manufacturer’s know we’re not gonna take this kinda stuff anymore.
And I’m getting a refund for my lamp and going back to candles…and then I’ll do it all again when my candle melts down to a nub.
Fundamentally apples to oranges. I love halo and hate those complaining for a refund right now but they are not mad for false advertising, it’s a broken game. More like, you got home and the bulb was broken in the box. In which case you would refund. Not very clever you hurt our side with dumb -yoink- like that
I expect my cheeseburger to be %100 ready to eat when the waiter brings it out, I do not expect them to bring out 1/10 of the burger and tell me the rest will come in installments when the cook feels like cooking and when the waiter feels like waiting.

Pretty sure more than just 1/10th of the game is there… I think an improvement to your analogy would be getting the burger but finding out that the steak was singed badly and etc. You have them fix it up and provide you with a properly cooked burger.
The game’s all there (sans a File Share and Spartan Ops) it’s just… Not cooked properly I guess?
All right I give. I’m terrible at making analogies. Point is, the game’s all pretty much there (Except the above line) it’s just in need of fixing - which they’re trying to do right now.

At what point in the modern world will consumers wise up? I mean, the expectations held for modern games simply can’t be lived up to in most cases.
It’s an apt comparison to say that a person would be disappointed if a light bulb they had been convinced would last for years went out in eight months. I don’t care what the guy selling the light bulb told you, because he and every other light bulb salesman spin the same yarns to get you to buy from them. But as a consumer, I believe you were not thinking straight when you bought the thing. Because all it takes is a bit of realistic intelligence to know that a light bulb won’t last for that long. Think about it, have you ever had a light bulb that lasted that long? No.
Halo isn’t different. These kinds of things never work as well as they do in the advertising. Think about the last meal you ate at a fast food chain, for example. I’d be surprised if it looked as good as it did in the TV commercial. But I bet you didn’t expect it to, either. Why? Because your expectations have been made reasonable in that market. It doesn’t mean the food was bad, it just means the food wasn’t unrealistically good.
I bought into the Halo 4 hype train so hard I bought the limited edition and the exclusive console. I was as butthurt as most of these whiners when I did. So I understand why they feel like they do. But they’re just begging to feel that way again if they believe they’re gonna get a perfect game every single time.

So I shouldn’t expect the game to work? Damn thing crashes during cut scenes!!! I can’t think of a single console game that ever gave me HALF the issues MCC gives me. Asking developers to deliver games that function is NOT too much to ask or expect.
