My Issues with BTB + more

Big team battle has been my go-to playlist to have fun in past halos. Currently, I’m not having fun in Infinite BTB. My biggest gripe is that we need vehicle spawns from the beginning. I understand you want the game to gradually get crazier to lead into an epic conclusion, but what is even the point of spawning the strongest vehicles with a minute or less of gameplay remaining? Only one lucky person gets to use it and by then, everyone on the map has a weapon to destroy you instantly. More often than not, the winning team has been the team to receive the vehicles. In a fast CTF match that ends quickly, you won’t even see vehicles like the brute chopper, scorpion, wasp/banshee. I suggest spawning the vehicles and power weapons earlier.

Another suggestion I have is to mark where power weapons are spawning in BTB. It happens in 4v4s and it happens when vehicles spawn, but amidst the chaos of BTB, not a single person knows where weapons are spawning. I suggest marking where a weapon drop appeared. You don’t have to announce or mark what the weapon is, just the locations of the drops.

I don’t like how when I play with friends, we aren’t put into the same fireteam.

I’m aware that this is the limited version of multiplayer, but please bring back assault. Game needs more maps and game modes.

Again, I understand there are limited features, but I really wish there was a way to track my Halo Infinite stats. Currently there is no way. Not even here on waypoint…

Lastly, I want to mention that I also hate the progression system. Challenges shouldn’t be the only way to gain XP. It forces the player to play in specific ways. What if I’m not enjoying the sentinel beam? Also, I shouldn’t have to pay $20 for a new spartan color/armor piece. That’s pure greed. Would’ve rather spent $60 for the full game.

i’m kind of annoyed at the frequency of game types, i’ve probably played close to 50 stockpile games and only 3 total control games

I’ve made a similar suggestion concerning power weapons, but more on the case of just removing randomized spawn for them. You don’t need to have it highlighted on the map, but it should be consistent on where you can find it and thus, fight for control over. Having a consistent spawn for essential power weapons like the SPNKR and Skewer are vital because of the hard-counter they present to vehicles, and just being given equivalents that don’t actually fulfill the same role just makes the effort of finding them useless. I.e. a Cindershot is not equal to the SPNKR, they’re both great weapons, but they function differently and have different roles.

Arguably the point to remove randomized spawns is the greater issue at hand for BTB, because map knowledge and power weapon control have always been an important aspect of Halo multiplayer, and serve a role in changing the outcome of a fight.

One thing I’ve noticed is that the length of games are over too quickly. Mainly because they’re objective game types so if all flags are captured then the game can be over in less than 5mins, because your unlucky to have teammates focus more on getting their challenges done then playing the objective. I only had one match that lasted nearly 20 mins and we had so many vehicles it was great. The down side was that the ground vehicles are way too easy too defeat with a number of weapons and equipment and the air vehicles can be difficult to take out due too the lack of firepower from weapons and equipment. I am glad that jetpack is gone but using one was a lot easier to get at air vehicles but I don’t know if I want jetpack to return. One time that annoyed me was that I emp’d the wasp with the shock rifle like 5 times and 3 out of those times the wasp fall from the sky over the edge of the map expecting the kill barrier to take it out. Sadly no it flew back up. I would like the kill barrier to be raised at the edge of the map like it was in halo 3. I’ve seen players hide over the side under the map to recharge their shields and its a cheese mechanic so that they can spawn trap teams
