Halo 5 Warzone is an interesting new addition to the Halo multiplayer experience. I for one don’t mind the addiction of the REQ system as its means I can spawn with the gun I want. Although I’d love a DMR, not quite sold on the BR this year. The ability to spawn your own vehicles is nice too, it means there no mad rush for a vehicle at the start which in the past has led to players getting pissy because they didn’t get the tank first and thus team killing to get it or trying to cause the player who got it to mess up out of spite instead of playing for the team. The same can be said about weapons, how many times I’m been meleed by my teammates because I got to the sniper first and they didn’t.
Anyway, my one issue with Warzone is the the Boss spawns. More notably how I can reduce the bosses health solo to within an inch of dying then an enemy or teammate can shoot it and claim the kill. This is especially annoying when its an enemy as you’ve done all the damage and they’ve come along and taken all the points. And when your team only has a slight lead, this can really affect the game, especially if its a legendary boss.
I think it would be fairer to give the points/kill to the player/team that did the most damage to the boss, IF they are still alive. If you die whilst killing it, then you forfeit the damage done and resulting kill because you died. But if you have took it down to a quarter of health and then have the kill taken of you whilst you still are in combat, then you should get the kill by having the higher percentage of damage.
This is just a suggestion, as I feel it would improve the balancing of the game.
