As far as the gameplay goes, I thought it looked promising. I have no MAJOR issues with what I saw, the game is a work in progress and I understand that the game can only really get better. I thought that they could show off a bit more in terms of exploration. I also would of liked them to show off the classic weapons before showing off the newer weapons.
My main issues is that I thought that once infinite had been shown it would be a lifting of the flood gates in terms of information about the game. Everything they’ve said so far has either been a confirmation of or dismissal of speculation/rumours we’ve been hearing for a while now with the smallest FRESH info here and there. I feel like I’ve passed through this tunnel and found myself in another void of little information similar to before the game was revealed. I know it’s only been 2 days but if the showcase showed more of the different aspects of the game I wouldn’t be so eager for more info. Realistically a waiting another month for more info really isn’t a long time especially considering we’ve waited 2 years (since the official announcement). but I’m done with waiting. I’m tired of waiting. I feel my patience hasn’t paid of and now I’m being asked to wait even more? That’s my main issue with this all. Not the gameplay, not the graphics, not the art style but the constant waiting and vague hints of when we’ll see more (I’ve grown to hate the word “soon”). I appreciate game development isn’t easy, especially on new hardware on a totally new engine and I respect the work 343 has produced. I liked what I saw of the actual game…I just needed to see more
