I’ve come across a problem where all the custom invasion maps I’m finding kind of…well, suck.
I spent a few hours trying to remedy the problem by making my own, but I’d like to find some people to test it out.
The map is called New Roanoke, and it’s supposed to be a colony during the events of Halo Reach.
(The description says “Don’t let this be the next lost colony.” If you don’t know what the lost colony of roanoke is, look it up)
The story of the map goes as such: New Roanoke is a major anti-air battery that is providing covering fire for the evacuating civilians from New Alexandria. However, a Phantom dropship has managed to sneak by their defenses, and is deploying Elite strike teams to take down the city. As a Spartan, it’s your duty to defend this city in order to buy the civilians time.
As an Elite, you first drop out of a Phantom and then battle your way across a field to secure a radar and communication outpost on the outskirts of the colony’s capital.
From there, the Phantom delivers a bomb to destroy the shield generator that is blocking the road to the capital from Elite ground forces.
Once the Elites detonate the bomb at the road’s checkpoint, they then infiltrate the city and must climb the highest building in order to remove the city’s generator that powers the anti-aircraft batteries across the colony, and return it to a pick-up point in the city.
