Halo 5 is no doubt the most competitive Halo out, which can be both sides of the same coin. It’s important to balance serious with fun, and with playing a lot of Halo 5 and experience all it has to offer, it’s too serious. What happened to Warthog Derby and infection, (just to name a few)? The fun gametypes that one can retire to after a few hectic games that leave you a headache. Sure we have forge now, but I, myself can’t even work on projects on there when my Internet is insufficient to load anything. So if you’re offline momentarily, enjoy the campaign because forge is useless. If I was online and wanted to play halo, I’d play multiplayer! Not forge by myself. Make it offline at least. It’s bad enough I can’t even load my profile without Internet! But I digress… I thought I’d share some ideas for Halo 5 to make it a lot more “tasty”. Just some mild suggestions that someone could do in a week and be implemented in the next update. So here it goes…
-
The scout warthog is basically a futile battering ram. It would be a huge advantage to have it where 2 or even 3 Spartans can hop in the back and possibly even have a feature where a guy who’s holding a turret hop on and use it to mount his turret from any faction. Having better uses for low leveled stuff is beneficial. Just look at the plasma pistol!
-
Bringing back the Hornet or Falcon would really make it more diverse in the skies. We all loved them from the previous halos, why can’t we get a remastered one? Just imagine the tactical advantage of having two Spartans gunning on each side while you handle a boss, isn’t that a cool scene?
-
It’s a long shot but having the leech/covenant Walker from halo wars would be a tremendous addon since it can rival the mantis. I think having more diversity on the battlefield is a great way to keep gamers not to get too comfortable with just spawning a hannible mantis and wrecking everyone.
-
Bring back the fun playlists! Grifball is still a great addon but having infection was always amazing. Now with actual dedicated servers, playing infection online would be at least some what fair and tons of fun. But bringing back the fun into halo is guaranteed to bring in more people. Just have the two play styles next to each other. Balance is always key in making anything great.
That’s all I really have to say that’s somewhat reasonable. All these ideas can be done and I strongly believe should be implemented. But like I said, these are just my mild suggestions that I think would help out keeping the fan Base.

I definitely agree with you on the point that Halo 5 has been built too serious, but I believe future updates will have the ability to close the casual-competitive gap (to a degree) that players have been complaining about.
Alright, now here I go on your numbered points:
-
I agree with you here, too. The Scout Hog should have been the Troop Hog from Halo 3, so then multiple people could catch a ride much more effectively than the experience a Scout Hog could ever provide.
-
The Falcon would definitely be the more preferable choice in my eyes. The Phaeton is basically a Promethean Hornet. Who knows though, the Memories of Reach update may actually add the Falcon (at least that’s what we all hope).
-
I believe you are talking about the Locust. It would definitely be one of the largest drivable vehicles in Halo’s history, right alongside the Elephant. If the maps could support a Locust, I think it would be awesome. Maybe 343 could even add a Locust/Scarab boss in Warzone.
-
Memories of Reach will also add Infection, so there’s another +1 in my book. Maybe if Forge was taken off dedicated servers, then everything would be grand.
So, to summarize that, I can say I overwhelmingly agree with your ideas.

Honestly, I’m able to live with all those other problem (although I do still think they need to be dealt with), but the fact that Forge is online only is what pisses me off most.
