Ok so i thought that itd be really cool if thry were to do customization for halo 6 in this way. So first of all, itd be like halo 4. And since the have armor skins, i think that they should do those skins in a separate category. Like skin sets, such as a flame set for all armor types and stripes ect. And to save tine on that. Those skins would be secondary colors only so they dont have to bother with too much detail. Just simpliy put it over the armor primary. And the starting armor shouldnt have a secondary, just plain primary. So that those who like plain get plain and itd allow the skins to have something to be pasted over. Another thing about the armor, seeing how it be like halo 4 similarity (hey if they want to one up it and do it like kneepads, bicep plates shoulders, thighs, handplates, ect. Have at it) i feel that they should do a thing where you can have no armor on , like a shoulder plate on the left an, and no shoulder plate Ann the right. It would add much more to it. They already show the suit underneath anyways, why not allow people to wear nothing, but i think that if 343 were hoing to put detail behind that, i think that with no armor, the suit underneath, you move and sprint faster, but when your sheilds pop, you die faster than woth armor. Just to add gameplay value. Also with customization, the undersuit should also have skins, the starter being straight black suit underneath, others allow secondary colors, some primary. And then a thing icwould love to see. I would love to see different huds depending on helmet variation. Simple way to do it would be have the main parts of the hud needed as moveable pastes kind of thing, then the small light lines on the helmet are the “background” and the “pastes” are moved to their respectable spots, as well as blacking out certani parts of the egde of the scren to give that helmet effect, take the idea fron campaign really. Also for gameplay. They should have flashlights. And the shadowed areas that require said flashlight. For forge the could add in a “shadow box” thing where it would be a boundary setting and when entered it male eveything darker, with settings of visibility. Basically a more refined version of the fog settings in h5. In these areas flashlight would be needed, it would cast light as well for better effect. Oh for infection, the infected have night vision. That would make for some awesome gametypes.better slender indeed. Also this wouldnt be needed at all. But itd be cool for a third person perspective option for gametypes obviously, and a fps perpsective for vehicles, itd add to the fun and machinimas, it could potentially add players to halo again and itd be great fun. Oh and as an end…color wheel with matte, gloss, and metalic effects for armor colors…just sayin
Please if anyone likes my ideas for customization. Please spread the word, get it to people like ready up live and halo follower for discussion and get 343i to consider this. Spread the word internet, i leave my mind child to you lol
I think most of this is a great idea(I’m I little iffy on some of the armor customization ideas), but the problem is that it would take 343 so long to design this that they would never be able to do it. Maybe if they do parts of it at a time, we could someday get to that point, but for now I think we as a community need to find some key points that we all agree on to ask 343 to change/develop. Personally, the thing I want most out of your ideas is the matte/gloss/metallic options for armor.
Well they could do the undersuit as base character, and each armorset is cut up for the variety, also they should work on it for howeverlong they need to, i honestly wouldnt mind if they did a smaller amount of armor customization and did the above, with updates releasing armor sets like they are for halo 5. It could have a lot of potential, and halo 5 was their real first debute for the xbox one. They could do armor sets without skins, that way it would reduce the amount of armor they make so there are sets of one, then apply the skins afterwards which would be secondary colors, that way it reduces the amount of time spent into each varient, instead of having multiple varients, simply have the base armor and apply skins
Bring back the Halo Reach Style. I should be able to change the arms, the legs, the helmet should have attachments, there should be a wrist piece, a waits piece. I should be able to change my emblem to look however I want it too. There shouldnt be these standardized emblems. Just go back to Halo Reach Customization please.
Could they do this without crashing the Xbox?
That said this sounds awesome. I’d be happy with combining 4s level of customization (down to the arms and legs) with Reach’s attachments.
Doom has a fairly extensive customisation, head, torso, left and right arms and legs, you can also change visor / light colour, there are various levels too, we only got base armour in the beta, but from my pre order I know there’s more in the final build. There are patterns to unlock for all armour parts, and various colour options for all, matte, gloss and metallic were unlockable in the beta, and from my pre order I’m aware of emblems in the game too. Sounds great ? It gets’ better, everything you can do with your armour can be done with every weapon you have. If Doom can have it Halo can imo.
I personaly feel that customisation was becoming too cluttered with Halo 4, but Halo 5 was definitely way too simple.
I think you should go down to having 6 options;
- Helmet - Visor - Chest - Left Shoulder - Right Shoulder - Base armour (legs and arms)Only base items would be listed in the menu. Once you select one, it would then give you the option of 2 to 4 different skins, much like how there are several skins for most of the armours in Halo 5.
There would then be 3 colour options, Primary, Secondary and Decal (the white stripes seen on several Halo 5 armours).
I think this is complex enough to satisfy fans, but simple enough to make armours distinguishable from one another.
We really need armor that can be mixed and matched with no real issue. that was the beauty of Reach. You go for a full Set our customize your spartan however you saw fit with the mission parameters and the armor would still look pretty BA if not more so than it’s full set counterparts.
Really wish the armor was functional instead of just static, like the distance indicators on scopes.

This is what I’d do:
- Helmet. This is what’s really important. No one looks at you and says “Oh, Goblin Dokkabi? Sweet armor, bruh!”
- Chest. Because some cool armor sets have poor chestpieces.
- Arms and legs.
- Shoulders. Both can be of the same kind.
Like Reach but with all the armors of Guardians.
Helmet
-attachments
Visor
Left shoulder
Right shoulder
Arms
Legs
-attachments

This could work, aye.
I still think reach had the perfect customisation.
Halo 3 had the best way of unlocking stuff. It was up to you to unlock the pieces that you want and when you get them - you wear them with pride.

Sounds good
