Hey guys, ive been playing halo wars almost exclusively for the last few months and have become a competent player over time, thanks to the help and advice I have gathered from players and scraps around the Internet. This website is a great collection of all players in all skill ranges who have maintained a positive mindset throughout the games lifespan.
So, here’s my proposal. I’m creating a website which will document anything an everything halo wars. Based on all strategy, building, unit, timing info and the likes. A database which can then be constantly added to and accessed to help any and all players. Please reply to this post if what I’m asking interests you, and I’ll give more details as I progress
People have tried those before, and they never lasted long. I’m just being honest when I say you might be putting your time into something people probably won’t be interested in due to Halo Wars not being as popular as other Halo games.
Look the population reaches roughly 7000 per day, I want to make something just dedicated to raising the all round skill levels in general, I’ve individually helped people go from low to high-medium skill with just a few tweaks tips and builds. But this could help many people up their game. Nowadays many high level players post quality videos which can support the strategies. Just to allow
The newer or less knowledgable players have a resource to get better quickly themselves and hopefully grow the community
Good idea. There was a site long ago that comes to mind - teamindecisive.ca. It was run by a handful of great players and was mostly noob-friendly. It’s where I first learned the basics of high-level play. It displayed videos of basic build orders and strategies and had helpful community members. I wouldn’t mind seeing a site like that again.
Of course, that was back when Halo Wars competition was thriving (15k-20k players). If you’re passionate enough about this, then by all means go for it. It’s never too late.

That’s the difference though. Back then, everyone started with an even playing field and the meta evolved with the updates and strategies which became standard. The thing that is holding back today’s players, is the fact that all the remaining ‘old’ Players seem to whine and keep to themselves. When all it takes is a little advice to improve not only your own gameplay, but others too leading to more allround TS and more fulfilling matches. The game still retains a workable player base. I came to this site first to ask people such as yourself, wild arms, bb2010, sadstone, etc. The ones who generally attempt to help all these guys out at any chance. Then to ask and possibly allow me to use tips, tricks, strata and videos consolidated in one place dedicated to the consolidation of all information that is out there. Of course every piece of information will be appropriately cited. But it would help greatly if they find their old guides and help that are infinity sprea throughout the internet and help with the progression of a chance at finding a new glory for the best RTS put to console.
Best bet would be making videos.
He isn’t a high level player anymore as he doesn’t play, but mitch probably did the most in terms of increasing average skill level.

I wasn’t talking bad about Halo Wars because it is a great game. That is why I stick around these forums, but I was just saying I’m not sure if many people will be interested. Sure most people here will, but there are like a dozen of us. It is just going to be hard spreading the word around.
