Ok so I have been drawing and sketching up designs for a Flood Warzone map. here is what I have been thinking.
so basically it would have 3 bases as per normal, with and additional 2 outposts/bunkers that would be capture-able.
I’d have a Flood Gravemind built around the center base, his tentacles or extra limbs would be stretched out over the map. I was thinking that the solid boundaries around the map would be forerunner and it would look like a containment facility that the gravemind broke. I figured that we’d have the full Flood Experience on this map, so flood attacking bases, spawning huge monstrosities, ect. I had thought about the air and the banshees and whatnot, maybe having some of the graveminds limbs moving slowly (Enough to dodge but fast enough to kill pursuers), maybe even having the ability to clamber on gravemind to a point. the center base would be just a base, you can’t capture it, and it keeps spawning flood on, in, and around it. you’d have the head of the gravemind looking down and I figured he could be laughing. for your base protection you’d have infectable marines and elites standing guard.
for this DLC I’d bring back the famous Flame Thrower and Fire Grenades.
Maybe even some Amped Shot Guns with Skins as well as a Flood Hunter Mythic Armor.
I’d have Flood Flyers and Pure Forms as escorts to the main and Final Boss, the Flyers to target people trying to run to the center base and pure forms to present a real challenge.
I’d have a Flood point Tally so you can see how many points the AI is making compared to Red and Blue. if the Flood Tally reaches 1000 points then both Red and Blue lose and the Flood win. (this idea I don’t think people will care about all that much… but I have to say “then why is it called PvPvE if the Environment can’t win?”) so in this map there would be no Promethan Spawning on the map, it would be strictly Covenant and Human and Flood. we’d see flood Thrasher forms to replace the Hunters, Pure Forms, Infected Combat Forms, Infection Forms, Carrier Forms, Flyer Forms. it would be insane, the map would be huge circle, with an increased fly space above making room for flood flyers and Spartan Banshees and Covenant Drop Ships.
as for the initial spawning… I’d have the pelicans flying towards this containment facility and drop the Spartans off on a elevator that epicly lowers into containment pit drawing the attention of the gravemind and his flood minions. I figured a victory cutscene with the winning spartan team flying off wile the gravemind is blowing up or dying or whatever.
well what are your thoughts? did I get it down in enough detail or is there any questions about this?
idk I’d like to know if people have read this.
sounds pretty sweet doubt they’d do something so heavily involved with the flood maybe a small part but not as large as you described
I posted these two ideas yesterday in a fresh post ans the post was completely ignored by EVERYBODY on this forum. I didn’t get one reply good or bad. So here are my ideas.
First idea.
Please do this, allow players to post the maps they made. Put the maps available for review for a month somewhere on the game. Let the players vote on the maps. Allow players to score them 1 to 100. If it makes it 85 and above it gets put into the game, it costs 343 nothing the player gets full exposure for making it and a possible notch on his resume. Players play maps they want, Everybody wins. This should be done for all gametypes. The motorcycle game Trials has some really awesome maps that have been created by the players.
This alone could make Halo 5 one of the, if not the best Halo ever.
Second idea.
It would be really cool would be if they would take the best H2 Anniversary small team maps and supersize them for multiple vehicles to pass thru most areas at the same time. They would be a blast to play. This could be done maybe by using Forge and done by some players.

what I’m talking about isn’t forge, it’s a fully decked out Warzone map. though your concepts are interesting to say the least, I still want to see just how far they can take Warzone. Warzone reminds me of Halo Wars to some extent or degree, and I personally would love to see inspiration from HW to come to H5WZ (Halo 5 Warzone)
anyhoo back to what you were saying people can spam the voting system, although I think it is a great Idea. not to mention that it would be very cool to see some updated H2 maps made for Warzone and BTB. which is basically expanding the maps and adding to them, seeing as many of the locations are on a Halo ring, and most of the rings haven’t been destroyed ect. adding in the H2 maps does make sense and wouldn’t be against the grains of Lore.
I do believe that concepts and whatnot should be voted on. I think that people should quit their jabbering and consider other peoples Ideas.

I have a very similar idea with what your talking about with out the Flood. But the bosses come with AI’s that go after bases and if they talk all 3 points then both cores are explodes. I think they are missing something with the PvPvE like what your saying.
I wouldn’t have both cores explode… rather I’d have waves and waves just hammer those bases and blow up the cores. and to make it fair for the environment have air shafts or whatever to release waves where players wouldn’t think of to guard. I’d also say that 150 pnt bosses and 250 pnt bosses attack bases with those waves and that they don’t cost pnts untill you recapture all the bases.
also instead of Marines or Elites guarding your base, how about Sentinels?
also I’d add in to the DLC Sentinel Beams.
My idea of a war zone map would be one of the halo rings with varying environments with forerunner sentinels and teleporters scattered around the map.
That’s awesome, themed war zone maps with map exclusive req would be really neat!
well I like where this is all going. I love coming up with DLC Ideas… too bad I don’t have the funds to go to school for Engineering or else I’d be a Video Game Engineer… any contracts available?

Looking forward to someone other than Warden eternal for the final boss.
if they take my Idea and run with it… will it change the game to a rated M because of the Flood?
