My Idea for Forge, Please take a look!

So everyone remembers the FX orbs that has been around since the Legendary DLC for Halo 3 and had extended to Halo Reach. Well how about for Halo 4, We get rid of all of them and have a singe orb or gadget that uses sliders for us to control the Hues, Contrasts, Brightness, and probably filters for things like “Old Timey” and such. It’s a great Idea that can use up less memory so other things can be added to the game.

What do you think?

I approve.

As long as there is a filter that can darken the map into “nightime” or “outer space”, I would agree. Still seems like a cool idea, so I support it anyway.

That, is actually a great idea! If they don’t put this in Halo 4, they should definitely put it Halo 5! You know, since the game is practically gold.

It’s not too late, I haven’t seen an official saying that its gold, so they could still be tweaking Multiplayer, Forge, Maps, and Ect, so I think They could spare a programmer to do this in a few days.

This would certainly be interesting.

We know that FX aren’t “pre-baked” because in Halo 3, they were introduced through DLC maps, and in Reach, some maps had extra FX. From this, we can assume that the specific combinations of color tweaks exist within the FX objects themselves, rather than being hardcoded. We also know that objects can possess unique Forge-accessible properties – Reach’s Teleporter implementation reveals this.

So it should be possible to implement this now or when developing DLC maps later on. However, we don’t know if this is easy, nor can we make an educated guess. Bear in mind that it isn’t just a matter of setting a few properties: there are probably a whole host of other factors, such as networking, that need to be paid attention to.
