My idea for a trueskill system in Reach.

So I’m not going to go very in depth but it would be something like this. Halo 3’s ranking system with some tweaks. All they have to do is make it where you don’t rank down. I feel like it would do away with a lot of cheating/boosting for ranks. If you can’t rank down and you keep playing at that level you’ll eventually get better. Also you’re teammates/opponents wont be as mismatched as they are in Reach the way it is now because at least they had to play people close to that skill range to get to where they are.

I’m all for punishing players rank when they quit, if there is going to be anything involved with rank.

There is not a more fustrating thing to have players quit when, losing, not get map wanted, not get game wanted, or just having a bad game.

My prayer is Halo 4 has a way to rid the game of these type of players.

People need to be able to derank becuase if you leave the game for a few weeks, for college or military or whatever and you have lost your skill a bit, you don’t wanna always stay at the skill you had becuase it won’t gie you time to derank and slowly build yourself up to where you were

Example:
I am a 48 in halo
I been busy and haven’t played for 2 weeks., so im kinda rusty
when i play i ranked down from 48 to 43 becuase i am not as good as i was 2weeks ago, before i left.
Ranking down helped me so i can play with people of my level then eventually rank back up to my true skill level.

The deranking then ranking up really fast can be patched, BTW whats the point in having a fake 50 if you are going to get dumped on becuase you are going to get paired with real 50’s , so the fake 50’s would just be getting raped all day long, thats not fun.
