Halo: Outbreak
Story: You play as a helljumper named Lucas Baker. He is the only surviver of his drop at a spliter covie that has control of a ONI facility, but there is more horrors then just the spliter covies in the facility. Lucas must against the flood while making a unexpected alliance with a zealot elite (343i armor) and discover secrets that might aid or harm Lucas hellish survival.
Gameplay: The first mission will play like a normal halo but after that it will play like a FPS Dead Space. You must scavenge for weapons (from the books/games), finding a SPI armor then upgrade it through out the game.
Graphics are art style: H2A/HW2 looking
Cutscenes: Blur studio
Cool idea, but why recreate what Dead Space already did so well for a game series known for open environments and freedom of choice for combat scenarios?

I xame up with the idea after EA killed viscual studio and I don’t think a full open world halo horror game work. Unless it goes a H3 ODST/alien isolation way.
I think the only reason halo isn’t a horror is because it shows off just how badass humanity is in the face of extinction on a galactic scale!.. nothing gets much darker than the flood and even the covenant follows closely behind. If it was any darker it would be rated 18.
There’s just one problem: Unless you’re an Elite or Spartan, you’re pretty much… forged, to put it lightly as possible. The Flood requires minimal to no effort to infect a regular Human. Bites and scratches will get you infected. Heck, even by just breathing.
Spartans seem to be naturally resistant to Flood infection. Chief fought through waves of Flood, being hit by them and such, but still standing. The UNSC Infinity even has a simulation to train S-IVs to combat the Flood. This includes the “Flood” gamemode in Halo 4 and the Co-op campaign in Spartan Assault. Elites on the other hand only have a chance because of their shields. The shield protects them from bites and scratches from Flood forms, but would be unlikely to protect him against the spores in the air. Unless he has a suit equipped with a breather, he would need to rely on plot armor to survive.
Surprisingly, Grunts could work and are basically the opposite of Elites. They’re immune to spore infection but vulnerable to bites and scratches, and have no shields.
Halo: Flood Isolation… That was a horrible title lol.
kinda sounds like “the Mona Lisa” story. it could work but you’d have to be very careful with how its put together to prevent becoming a dead space rip-off. the SPI suit idea is good as it provides a solid defense against the flood spore problem with a breathing filter in the helmet.
Reminds me of Halo: Nightfall, I like the idea of a halo horror game. Maybe it could be an addition to halo 6 like Halo 3: ODST.

I was just gonna say that it’s like the Mona Lisa. Right down to befriending an Elite! I’ve always wanted a game version of that story, and this could be a lot like that
Good idea, I’d minorly tweak a couple things however.
A Dead Space like atmosphere with a Halo twist would be a great game if 343i chooses to do that. We never had a Halo game where it focused on survival horror. Even though Mona Lisa was not a Halo game but a side story, the flood looked insanely creepy in that.
I think CE was supposed to have horror and thriller elements to it much like the original alien film. I think this is a great idea to do something halo-esque
