halo: frostbite, taking place during halo 3, you play as a singular odst that drops into Antarctica to get some intel on what exactly the covenant are doing over there, the entire game you switch between this and him getting interrogated in a dark room with a singular light above a wooden table by a strange voice coming from the other side, he finds out that the covenant are looking for the portal to the ark, for some reason the engineers led them there. Right before the odst can inform the UNSC about this, most human devices stop working, the covenant used some sort of emp blast and now the odst has to survive by himself. You might find some elites and marines in Antarctica but not much. At the end of the game the player finds a device that can let out a distress signal, before the player can get to the pelican it is destroyed, it was a trap, the odst is tackled by brutes, a chieftan appears, and smashed his hammer straight into your skull, before you die you see furerunner metal that gets covered by snow, what was actually there you ask? A portal to installation 07 (a very unique halo ring that for some reason isnt activated by the ark) but the covenant are quickly withdrawn as the portal to the ark is found. now back to the interrogation room, the odst is confused, and arm appears from the other side of the long table and lights a cigar, a person gets up and puts it in thier mouth, then turns to the odst, its sergeant johnson.

> It would be great, but I don’t think 343 will go back to the past of the Saga, it would be better if you turn it into a fanfic.
Agreed 343 is obviosuly just looking forward so they can produce their own halo stuff.
Imagine this, a Halo horror game in the style of Alien Isolation where you are a lone UNSC marine/tech engineer and are stranded on a “Pillar Of Autumn” sized ship trying to survive and hide from The Flood!?
