My Idea for 343 to implement on custom games

It would be nice to be able to receive XP and newly REQ points in custom games, not much but just a little something recognizing your game time. Reach rewarded very small amounts but it was still something.
I think a good formula would be to figure how much the average XP/REQ earned per player per arena match then divide it by minutes played and then divide once again by a 10th from that. This amount can be your little something saying “hey, we see ya playing there”.
Example— lets say the average player gets 1100 Xp per regular arena match and each match is 12 minute, 1100/12=96(roughly) divide by another 10th and you’ve got 9.1 so i’m thinking around 9-10 XP a match annd 7-8 REQ pts a match to any match lasting atleast 5 minutes.
Sooo. even if you just jumped in, met the time requirement and then jumped out intentionally you would only be able to farm about 162XP/hr so the point to this is 2 fold:

  1. We dont have people just opening closing customs non stop to farm XP an even when they do it wont amount to much (162XP)
  2. This low amount wont break the economy of the game and will still reward players and give them significance to playing their buts off in customs or just having fun.
Obviously i havent went over every situation involved in this but i think this is a good platform to start.
Anyone from 343 please consider, me as well as numerous of friends and spartan company members have all agreed it would be a much welcome addition to the game its not huge difference but more of a saught after nuiance.
    P.S. me likey daily/weekly/monthly challenges

I’d change it to 5-10 a minute. Something small but worthwhile.

Well REQ points are done in increments of 5 at the least. I think it should just be 100XP and 25 REQ points per game. And I never even thought of earning rewards for customs. This is a pretty good idea. I sadly don’t see 343 putting this in Halo 5 due to it being such a change.

Yea i really like this idea and theres numerous ways to can approach it, it was just be a really nice touch to add some flavor to the game. Its one thing that i really appreciated in Reach was i could play any part of the game and still get, maybe not a reward sorta speak, but a head nod that hey, you’re playing our game, good on ya.

How about a lobby system?

That way games that need players as soon as the game starts…

Can have more than 3 people before starting.
Not sitting waiting for people to join.
