So I’m coming back to 4 after playing (some other) games for a few months, and wow the multiplayer is different! I’m getting out gunned pretty regularly, and so it has made me wonder…
They must have tweaked the weapons, right? I mean, I feel like the DMR is not nearly as powerful as it once was. And people are using the Light Rifle now? When/why did that happen?
I feel like I’ve noticed that the BR is a 4 shot now, right? Has to be…
And does the carbine rifle do more damage now? I don’t think I ever got killed by that gun before.
Seriously, it’s like a whole new multiplayer!
Or did I really just get super bad at this game in 3.5 months?
Is there a list of what was changed or anything? Any new charts of strengths/weaknesses? Any way I can get caught up instead of just getting murdered and figuring it out in person? hahaha
Also, the rate of fire for the Br was decreases slightly as we’ll as the red reticle range. The RRR of the DMR was decreased as well while the light rifle’s was increased. Also, the rate of fire for the zoomed in LR was increased.
One of my favorite changes was e decrease of spread on the carbine and the fact that it takes one less shot to kill now 7 shots! BR is 4 shots now.
Automatics have been buffed up to compete with other primaries, but the auto-aim has been decreased significantly on them to balance things.
Chain guns on warthog and mantis have been increased by 35% damage and the SAW has been buffed a bit.
IN ADDITION! The overall base movement speed has been increased 10%…Phew!
Looks like 343i has been busy. That all adds up to a pretty different experience, yeah.
I’m sure some of it is a result of my slowed reaction time and not being as able to aim quite as well, but it helps knowing all of the gun buffs.
The movement speed is interesting, too, since everyone has sprint. I wonder why did amped that up?
Thanks a bunch!
I know how it feels man! I was inactive for 4 months since I was busy with school, and when I returned I was surprised! I’m glad I immediately adapted and managed to get back to the game again ^.^
Yeah, @DeathAce, that’s why I’m glad I got a quick overview of how the guns have all changed.
Unlike many people who play this game (cough) I don’t care which guns are the best in what situations. I just wanna know! I’ll get used to using them and get aim back over a bit of time, but if the gun that makes the noise I hate so much (light rifle) turns out to be the best scoped at distance, then that’s the one I’m going to use, even though that thud it makes when I shoot… ugh it’s just so ugly. w/e.
And the movement speed makes sense when you put it that way. I imagine you’d feel a little nailed down, otherwise, huh?
