My hopes for Infinite immediately after this "beta"

First and foremost: I’m expecting all these changes come after the game comes out of this funky “beta” stage (it would be awesome if it was sooner)

  • Changes and improvements to the BP, challenges, and the inclusion of awarded xp that reflects the players’ performance in a game.

  • Better consistency. What I mean by this is more consistency with combat. I feel like sometimes I’ll unload my entire AR clip into an unshielded enemy’s head and they won’t die, but the second my shields are down I die in one AR bullet. I’ve had similar experiences with meleeing an enemy with partial shields, and grenades overall.

  • The option to turn off crossplay. As a console player, I’m not super interested in getting Ninja’d by someone who can look around 10x faster than me with precise movement and having a snipe-off with someone who has perfectly consistent and pinpoint aim.

  • It’s a longshot, but I would love it if 343 changed the way the Warthog and Mongoose drove. They feel like they slide around and tip over far too easily. Plus it takes a really long time for them to come to a complete stop.

  • The ability to change gametypes (I think that’s a given because again, 343 are treating this stage as a “beta”, so they’re testing out some new stuff)

  • More armor for the Mk 7 armor set. This is the brand new generation of spartan armor for Infinite, and so far 343 are just giving us some updated armor from previous games, and new, really weird stuff.

  • More maps. That’s it, just a few more maps.

I think some of these are likely, some not so much. We know that the campaign has specific collectables that unlock armour to use in MP, I’m assuming that’s going to where a chunk of the MK7 armour will come from. I also think we might see some playlist tweaks around the release, with some more modes being included with some of the free events planned.

Outside of that, I’m hopeful but not overly optimistic we’re getting more maps. I wouldn’t expect much to change when it comes to game play, personally I haven’t experienced issues with hit detection except for the times I know it’s my own connection chugging. That goes for the vehicles as well, I doubt we’ll see physics changes of any sort before the 8th. I definitely don’t see them implementing a performance based XP system being implemented by then, that’s potentially a much more complex change than I think some people realise. I can definitely see some further tweaks to the challenge system, but there won’t be any significant overhauls before Christmas I don’t imagine. Considering 343 have said they’re already working on a seperate non battle pass progression system I think that will work on per match performance for XP gains, but that’s a ways out from being finished.

This is not the beta. I don’t know how many times I got to keep saying this but the beta was in August. And trust me we all brought up every concern to 343 back in August. This is the official released game. The only reason why they’re calling it a beta is for legal reasons. To get around loopholes because they said their official release was December 8th. What you see is what you get on December 8th. They’re still events coming up. But if you had any concerns about anything getting fixed anytime soon don’t hold your breath.

That’s why I put quotations around “Beta”

You missed the most important thing region lock high ping games all over the place

I’m constantly seeing people gripe about crossplay as if everyone on pc is playing KBM. this is simply not the case… Controller is far superior to KBM.
