When Halo Reach was at its prime, I played it while also watching my brother play it it was very fun to see and play. Then MCC launched Reach and since then I loved playing custom games and making forge maps but in Halo 5 it was very unforgiving with basic controls so it was insanely hard to learn and get creative with. So now to present day so what do I hope they add? I hope they add a basic section and an advanced setting. For example you’re making a battle royale presets, buildings, weapons, vehicles, props, and platforms with blocks would be in the basic section. Now that you have the buildings and weapons in you need the collapsable circle which would be in the advanced section would rather have that set up already for you to get creative with or be stuck with a complex and hard forge I’ll prefer the first option well thats my hopes for Forge mode what’s yours?
Because they are delaying Forge I have a list of demands:
- AI. There must be every kind of NPC. They need to be linkable to objective like Halo 5 warzone. They must have pathing that is linked to forge objects so that they can traverse the vast majority of terrain. They need to be capable of defending points or following a friendly player. - LARGE building pieces like Halo 2A. Those grass planes are great, we need more of those but with inclines, ditches, and etc. All of which should not require tilting pieces (which causes horizontal alignment problems). Aither this or let us alter a terrain map by doing something like raising or lowering vertices and choosing water level, similar to Farcry 2. - More object scripting. I want the H5 scripting but with additional options, like reverting object to spawn point or altering the coloring based on a script. - Environment transition. I would like to see weather and lighting scripts that change based on a script. - FIREFIGHT FORGING. We have wanted it since halo reach. With Ai in Forge this should just be a matter of placing spawnpoints or drop off points. - H4 Dominion Defenses. I miss auto guns, I miss vehicle pads, I miss teambased doors. - Shield doors that are teambased and only allow a particular team to use them and do not break. - big maps - More animated objects. Garage doors are nice but I would love hardlight bridges, retractable bridges, more monitors and their screens, more doors, elevators, etc - Local environment zones. These zone can have weather, lighting, gravity, sound, etc alterable) - WAAAAY bigger forge budget. DONT LET THE XBOX ONE HOLD YOU BACK. I cant tell you how many maps I made where I have to delete a chunk of the map just to place spawn points and objectives despite not having a single map glitch. - Building block texture options. I want to chose different visuals like UNSC, forerunner, Banished, Floor, Wall, window, stone. I hate having to make a base or map where the theme is something other than the textures that are available to me. - Link teleporters to scripts. Press buttons, have timers, have switches, and link to objectives. - I love non combat or irregular vehicles. give us these please like in reach and MCC. Having a forklift dropped in by a pelican would be satisfying. - At least 1 carrier vehicle for land and 1 for air. Something for deploying troops and allowing friendly spawns. I like the falcon transport and I wish the unarmed warthog could take 3 players in the back. Give us a scorpion with seats on the side for players and not just AI.Game Modes:
- Dominion and warzone style game mode.
- Option for Killing AI to count as a point.
- Asymetrical game modes with objectives (ex: termite)
- Firefight but on forge maps
- Game mode capabilities similar to skeeball and hockey from reach.
- Option to chose to spawn on other players like in reach invasion and invasion slayer.
- Better appearance options under player traits like size. Basically What halo Reach has in its various modded modes.
- Mod support.
- Scripts for game modes like curse halo reach.
- Option for Infinite gear uses but with cool downs.

That would be great to have an option to choose simple or advanced forge. Like a simple Halo 2A style (with easier options and prebuilt structures) and then a more advance Halo 5 style.
So looking to Forge.
Just need;
- Resizable objects (would end up being quicker than scrolling through pages of options).
- Decals.
- Holes - that you can place in objects to create doors.
- Editable terrain.
- Water.
But most looking forward to scripting;
- More actions per script.
- Better access to individual players - let us put a label on players in the pre-game lobby that we can act upon in game.
- More options in player traits; colours, starting weapons, which team they are on.
- More info with each kill - at the moment we only know who died… we need to know who killed them, with what, and who assisted.
- Scripts attached to game types (so they run on any map).
Given that infinites forge has to top the beast that is h5s forge that’s a big mountain to climb but something tells me it’ll be better then 5s forge leagues better
