Halo 5 had a pretty decent system where an emblem came with it’s own banner, but MCC most certainly has the superior system. While I don’t mind choosing a premade emblem, being able to make an emblem like you can in most Halo games is far better. I love Halo MCC’s custom emblem and banner combo, especially animated banners. Nothing is cooler than having flames and a legendary skull next to your name. I hope that Halo infinite copies MCC’s system for this, and i’d love to be able to see people’s emblems and banners prior to the match as well instead of only for a short while after the match has ended.

Man you are Pineapple-Expressing these good discussion topics! But yes, having your own homemade emblem would be really cool in Halo Infinite. There are no real negatives and it would make the playerbase happy. Personally I actually want more options in Infinite than in MCC, which I felt was limited. They can make them really fast too due to their simple nature, so even if they haven’t made it yet they could add it easily before fall. Seeing someone’s emblem on the leaderboard would also be cool, and having it visible on their shoulder would be awesome. Even cooler, they could give you options for where to put your emblem onto your armor!
I’m hoping we get enough options to be unique and have freedom of expression. I stated in another thread that I would love an emblem creator. I don’t think we’ll ever get that in Halo though. My biggest concern is 343i padding season passes with emblems. Also, yes to seeing emblems and banners in the lobby.

Lol. Yes we did see those but equally there were many well made and impressive designs. Especially in Battlefield. It’s just a whimsical wish of mine because my wife made me Yoshis for my emblems, and Conker and Gregg the Grim Reaper designs for my Forza cars. I know / doubt we’ll ever get the tools to do that in Halo, but one can wish.

You mean Black Ops but yeah, I can see why 343 wouldn’t want custom emblems for that reason alone. But I mean… It really depends on the PG rating the game gets at the end of the day. I personally have nothing against that so.
