it’s good.
I couldn’t even finish my second game. I still play 20 to 40 hw games a week. They completely ruined this game. Make the graphics more gritty, and less animated. Bring back the 3 Spartan vs leader system. Make the controls the same, go back to the reactor power system. I don’t know who advised them to change key elements of the game but I am going to delete the beta and hope the actual game is much improved. I will not buy the new game for $60 unless it’s reviews upon release are a complete 180
there is a leader guys, spartan jorge i think his name is and a brute chieftain which have all the same upgrades as in HW.

You have to buy Halo Wars 2 for the Halo Wars Remaster soo… might have to buy it anyway,
I’ve played alot of command and conquer, while yes it takes one thing from C&C, but most does not.
C&C uses power to power your base instead of a resource, defenses and building use power, if you take out the power generators their defenses go down and their build times are reduced. (Strategy)
C&C allows you to build bases wherever.
C&C does not have a unit cap
also it plays more like battle for middle earth 2 than C&C.
Also, while there is a lack of clarity, it is still a pretty simple game, with fixes to audio and clarity it wouldn’t appear so complicated

Don’t mean in the sense of feature or how it plays. Just how it feels. Forgot it was a halo game.
So do some of your complaints stem from attempt to appeal to PC users?
From what I see from your post, it seems that way. Since it is coming to PC as well, they are trying to appeal to PC players.
Tell me if I am wrong.
I have to say I have logged over 10000 HW games and I love it… I played HW2 yesterday and granted it is a beta I didn’t even play a second game
It was pointless… Terrible Terrible Terrible game… You have a perfect formula for mula…
Just take the game you had upgrade the graphics fix the glitches make 3 Spartans able to jack a scarab
Add 3 new characters from each class (UNSC and Covy) New Maps and BOOM You have a SUPER successful game…
They’re trying to re-invent the wheel and it’s coming out square… I hope this isn’t what the final product is going to be like…
If so… I’m out…
The Covenant bases look different because it’s not the Covenant. I know, it’s hard to accept it. It’s a different, new faction that has little to do with the former “Covenant”. This is consistent with the lore, but is a problem that halo wars 2 shares with halo 4 and 5: the enemies aren’t so cool anymore. We aren’t fighting this technologically advanced, threatening and powerful race anymore, and the feeling we get from the games changes accordingly. A great game must have great enemies, unfortunately (or luckily for humanity) the lore has developed in a way that those races that once made up the Covenant are just a shadow of their former selves.
They could have set the game during the Great Human-Covenant War, that would have given us the old sweet feel back.
No leaders on the ground is great, but I think there are these doubtful “hero” units.
I think it is awesome for a Beta. Remember a Beta is for improving and changing things. Although usually games nowadays have betas for no reason it seems. This one is around five months before it comes out, so I am sure they are doing it with the intention of making changes.
