Yep I am cursed… my Xbox One that I got on launch day has been shipped off for repair today. I’m not expecting it back for at least 10-24 days. I got a System Error after an update and have tried everything I can to fix this… spoke to Xbox Support, tried the offline update through a USB stick, tried resetting to factory default again through a USB stick but still it won’t boot up past the Xbox One green screen.

The reason I say I am cursed is because my Xbox 360 did the red ring of death a week before Halo 3 was out. After getting it back and eventually exchanging it for the Modern Warfare 2 Edition when it came out… that 360 just flat out died a week and a half before the release date of Halo: Reach. Finally after buying a replacement console (I sold the repaired version when I got it back) the new 360 died on the day Halo 4 came out. I put the game in and it just powered off and wouldn’t turn on again.

So at the moment I’ve had an email notification that my copy of Halo 5 has been dispatched to me, I expect to receive it on Monday or Tuesday but sadly wont have a console to play it on. I am cursed, I tell you… CURSED! Seriously considering breaking into my credit card and buy a new one… but really can’t afford it

That sounds awful…
I remember back when h3 launched I had no 360 yet, so I went to my friends house and we would play it. Maybe you have the possibility to do that?

Buy a new one and sell it when you get your replaced one. I had to do that once too and if selling online you can get decent deal.

Yeah I am seriously considering it. I’m tempted to buy a new one and then when I get my repaired version back trade both in for the Elite Console. Trouble is I am seriously low on funds at the moment as I have also just had to put my car in the garage for repair.

I have a couple friends who are getting it but due to lack of split-screen that doesn’t help much.
