Know that most of these are unfeasible especially as halo 4 is far in production, but thought i’d post my personal wishlist. Loved the previous halo games and never really was able to get into reach until the TU, and i still feel that even with the TU, the previous games are much more enjoyable.
<mark>Quitting-</mark>
- 3 Betrayals and kicked, no exceptions (been kicked for 1 accidental betrayal several times in the past, not sure if this still happens)
- A Betrayal points system where once you reach a certain amount of points you get temporarily banned, First to quit when both teams are full (4v4) gets penalised the most, Person who quits when there’s already been one person quit (e.g. when its 4v3) still is penalised but not as severely
- When half the team or less is left, an option for the 2 remaining players (or 3 in squad/4 in BTB etc…) to forfeit the game and gain no exp but not receive any sort of penalty
<mark>Campaign</mark>
- Hidden secrets similar to switches in campaign from halo reach, which relate to campaign and lead to something interesting (like the secret room)
- Less confined corridors and more open maps
- More paths to choose between when completing missions
- Storyline which is easier to follow and possibly finishes with some sort of mystery (Which hidden locations in the game may give clues towards?)
<mark>Matchmaking</mark>
- No AA’s or equipment
- If AA’s are definltely to be added- remove jet pack, armor lock, invisbility, add some new ones (some interesting suggestions on this board) and limit it to a specific aa’s playlist, not to regular ones like team slayer or anything
- 1-50 Ranking system where quitting is heavily penalised and does not provide any sort of gain
- NO ARENA
- Community tournaments run by 343 (:
- Infection playlist consisting of only user made maps/gametypes - Nothing at all like the current one which uses the horrible default maps and gametypes, Possible ability to vote for which user creations get added to the playlist or something (I remember a special weekend infection playlist for h3 which had custom creations and was excellent)
- New playlist for each weekend similar to what happened in h3
- MLG playlist from day one
- Team slayer starts with BR’s/Ar’s, seperate team AR’s playlist with ar/pistol starts, Current AR starts are lame (Especially with the extremely limited range which potentially means newer players will be trying to shoot at something at a distance and have no success)
- Longer range on the AR
- No spread BR similar to halo 2
- Reduced headshot range with sniper rifles, current sniper rifle is way too overpowered and is easy to get headshots, similar to halo 3 would be alot better
- That gamemode from the beta where you were required to protect several spots which the enemy had to try destroy
- Community playlist featuring most popular maps/gametypes from the community
- Even though it’s a COD feature I think a final killcam would be a great addition
<mark>Firefight</mark>
- Needs a complete overhaul IMO, I’ve never seen people on my list playing it aside from in the first couple of weeks for achievements, is extremely dull and uninteresting and nothing like blackops zombies/Gears horde which are both excellent. Might work well with only one life and more tower defense orientated/Protect a specific target
<mark>Custom games</mark>
-Custom games finder - So much potential for this for ages but for some reason has never happened
<mark>Forge</mark>
- Not sure about this one but tools which make it easier to produce perfectly flat structures and easier ability to connect blocks to other blocks for the more structurally challenged (like myself)
- Ability to delete all items on map
<mark>Maps</mark>
- 2 Exact remakes, 2 Remakes using similar structures but different colouring etc
- Remake’s Voted on by the community would be nice
- Every few weeks the community has the power to vote out a certain gametype/map combo from a certain playlist
- Developer made infection map(s)? (Really enjoyed the bridge in the sky type maps and would be nice to see one made by the developers from day one)
- Symmetrical maps, less corridors or dropdown spots (Nothing like countdown which i believe is an awful map)
<mark>Collectors editions</mark>
- Similar to before - One epic edition (most expensive and rare) and one limited edition (just a little bit more expensive than the regular)
- Contents relating to the actual story, maybe give a bit of insight into a mystery or some clues to one of the secrets included (e.g. switch location)
- Some sort of golden ticket hidden inside certain limited editions would be nice (Small BR shaped replica USB or something)
<mark>Launch</mark>
Community online scavenger hunt type event for clues/details about halo 4?(:
