Summer in Northern or Southern hemisphere?
OT: You have some good clips, I always choke on exterms and overkills -_-
However, the video quality and editing was sub-par in my opinion. You sort of have to capture in HD these days to be taken seriously unfortunately. Failing that, I think you could have tried to get it widescreen. Your video looks like widescreen footage squashed into 4:3 ratio (can’t remember the technical term).
Also, I think you should avoid Linkin Park. When it comes to Halo montages you will be instantly stereotyped as something negative if you use Linkin Park. It’s become a taboo thing.
Finally, in terms of editing I look for only one thing really and that’s syncing with the music. I don’t really care all that much for flashy effects bar some colour correction and some well placed transitions that aren’t too over the top. Don’t hate it just because it’s CoD, it is literally my favourite montage out there solely because of the editing. The editor - Joe - has the most beautifully simple editing style I have ever come across.

So, my suggestions are upgrade to HD or get someone to capture for you, and experiment with finding good songs to sync to and play around with retiming, cutting, etc. Your work will look all the better for it : )
