every time i search for a game when it finds people it will say restarting search could anyone help me fix this?
What playlist?
It could quite simply be that it isn’t finding enough players to start the game or a connection issue.
Ranked Team Slayer, Social Slayer, and BTB are always populated. Try those and you’ll find players for sure.

Pretty much this, not every playlist is easy to find players in these days. The game isn’t broken, just old.
That and it seems only the hardest of hardcore, higher level/MLG minded players seem to be the ones still playing. If you’re not at their same level, it’s unlikely you’ll be paired up with them.
