I remember when i preordered it the file size was very small (20mb maybe i forget) and I just checked it tonight and now it says 46GB.
I did this by going to my games/apps.
Hovered over H5 and hit start/manage game.
Used to say (20mb) now says 46GB.
Im sure I would know if it installed because I wouldnet be able to watch Youtube/Netflix for a while lol.
Yeah, there hasn’t been anything official, but word around the forums is that Halo 5 went gold, but 343 is just keeping it under wraps.
probably its gold and 343 and Microsoft has yet to publicly announce that the game is finished

The 20mb was probably just a confirmation of purchase binding the game to your account. Almost like a digital receipt,

Has anyone been able to download the full 40+ gigs yet? I wanted to get mine digitally but with 3 mbs I get really nervous a week might not be enough time. My internet is fast enough to run multiplayer, but downloading anything is a huge nightmare.

I would not worry mate even with slow internet a week is plenty of time.
46Gb should take between 6 and 10 hours to download at 3mbps - assuming nothing else is using the bandwidth.
Probably best to guesstimate 1 to 2 days to complete.

Your nightmare is what I dream of, I live in a village in Germany so a good connection is hard to get, after 10gb my download speed drops from 2-3mbps to 60-100bits(!!!) per second, that’s complete yoink

They’re identical.
Think of it like e-mailing someone a file verses burning it to a disc and giving it to them. It’s the same file. If you e-mail it to them, they have to download it before installing. If you give them the disc, they can install it straight from there.
The only difference is, in this case, you need to have the disc in the system every time you want to use the file.

Pre-Download starts on 10.20.15, you don’t it’s just your box reserving the space for it. It happens if you’ve reached a certain percentage of used space. The box goes ahead and reserves 46GB (The size of the game) for the preload on 10.20.
The entire game is not installed to your xbox yet. If you don’t believe me, delete the game and redownload. It will download in seconds, showing you it’s just a data reserve.

Prob just downloaded in the background one day while you were away
Mines said 46gb (somewhere around there) for a while now. Its always my second thing on my games page, right behind mcc. I sort mine by size

I have time warners 15$ a month plan, that might actually be megabits and not megabytes per second…I can’t remember. But i’ll plan on it taking a good few days.
