My buddy that I’ve been playing Halo with since the glory days of H2 was randomly banned from matchmaking tonight. He doesn’t mod or anything like that, doesn’t cheat, just plays the game how its meant to be played. Well just now we were playing a slayer game on Complex and he said he got a message that randomly popped up on his screen saying he was banned from matchmaking for a week. It didn’t kick him out of the game so he figured it was just a bug. Well, turns out it wasn’t because he got kicked out of matchmaking as soon as the game ended and it said that at the bottom of the screen a player has been banned from matchmaking.
I don’t see why this would happen because like I said, he just plays the game how its meant to be played. Any ideas as to why he was banned?
No, banned from matchmaking. He can’t enter into war games at all. He tried and it sent him back to the main menu.
WaKaSaBi is his GT. The only thing I could see him being banned for is using multiple double XPs but even then that’s ridiculous because why even partner with Doritos and Mt Dew to promote something like that if its going to get people banned? Makes no sense.
He definitely hasn’t lied about anything. He doesn’t cheat, doesn’t mod. I’m in 90% of the games with him, check my games played, he’s there in every game say for a few. You have some serious nerve to sit here and say that I myself am making -Yoink- up in defense of my friend being banned.
I read through some pages of the official ban thread and he definitely isn’t the only one who has been banned for no reason, so you can keep your ridiculous assumptions to yourself.
People like to make stuff up to think they can get their ban lifted. Even then in that thread, people have proved why they got banned. He simply lied to you. 343 did not make faulty ban. You should be banned for making that assumption. Why don’t you got post tin the ban thread instead of spamming this topic like your friend deserves special treatment. He got banned for a reason. Deal with it. Case closed.
Yeah, basically not this KID. A. I dont lie to my bestfriend. B. i talk trash, yes who the F doesnt when someone is harrassing them. I dont lagswitch. I dont do anything against the code of conduct. I’ve left a max of maybe 15 of my 700 played. SO my conlusion is that ive been banned for playing too much. Or that im one of the people who have fell victim to the whack–Yoink- automated BANHAMMER. which btw, 343, is -Yoinking!- limited. atleast do your loyal fans the favor of BANNING THEM YOURSELF AFTER GETTING PROPER PROOF.
Go psot in the Official Ban Thread about your situation. Not a new topic. You don’t deserve special treatment. Hope soemone closes this topic. Go to the official ban thread. People like to inspect profiles their kid. You are equal like everyone else who got banned FOR A REASON!
OH and 343 you just lost a CUSTOMER. if your gonna ban, atleast have the decency to give a reason. I’m racking my brain trying to figure out what i possibly coulve done. the only thing i can come up with is my trash-talking cause, and i’ll admit im a very aggresive player. however, why wouldnt i recieve a simple mic ban in that case. I should be banned for asking a simple question? While you come here offering no possible help but instead continue to make accusations that my friend did something wrong when clearly he didn’t. I didn’t make the thread to get him special treatment, I made the thread asking if anyone had HELPFUL insight, which you have offered none of, just made ridiculous accusations because you feel a PROGRAM can’t make a mistake. no i dont mod… i just got a brand new 360 the day after halo 4 came out. because mine wouldnt read the disk. so i got a brand new 250GB slim from walmart. Unless walmart is selling banned 360’s without my knowledge… and its not pernament its a 1 week ban. from my 360 and account

You want good insight? Go in the Official Ban Thread. Not here. I’m pretty sure they examine bans as it is a microsoft game. Case is closed. You want special treatment for him and him only to be examined. Go in the Official Ban Thread to be examined in the back of the line like all of the other cheaters. Nothing much to say. Case closed.
As an ex senior games admin for my ISP we used to ban people all the time BUT WE GAVE THEM A DETAILED EXPLANATION WHY. Banning without the explanation is going to cause more hassle in the long run. Look at the number of complaints asking why they were banned. If they KNEW then at least they could find evidence to prove if they were innocent (like game video proving they were not AFK) but just had bad luck or spotty internet connection.
Alright, just go the ban topic on top of the Halo 4 list. Ask there, and you may get your answer. I’m sorry I can’t help you, but I have to be there to see what happened. Oh well, I’m sure you can wait for a week.
