My Forge was reverted!

On the 5th, I started a map I called Hunos (Who knows?). After work the next day, I got on and made some awesome progress. Today, I made even more. The map was coming along great, and I was really proud.

However, I messed up on the flooring of the map, but couldn’t fix it. So I saved it as a new map, and then quit forging for the day. Up until that point, I was saving the map periodically.

I got on again today to continue the forging and something is wrong. The map I saved with the mistake was no longer there (it was just titled “1”), and the map I was working on (Hunos) was reverted to the end of the first day?

Why did it do this? Can I recover the maps? I’m very frustrated right now that I lost all I’ve been working on in forge for the past 3 days. Any help would be appreciated.

The map was on Forge Island, if that helps.

This is sadly an issue with Halo 4’s Forge that has been there since launch.

No way to revert the newer version of the map sadly

Not even clearing your cache?

I’m not aware of any means to recover maps that have been corrupted in this manner. However, I do know of one preventative measure that’s never failed me:

Never, ever, ever use the “Save” option in the pause menu. Always “Save as New” and then delete old files as the need arises. “Save” is a minefield of glitches and unintuitive issues.
