My Forerunner/Precursor Theory

Well, it seems Forerunners have already been confirmed to be in Halo 4. What about Precursors being the ancient evil though?

I’ve seen a lot of people ask that. It seems to me that the Precursors are still going to be the ancient enemy and the Forerunners are only going to be a catalyst like the Covenant were for the Flood.

I predict some all out war between the Humans, Forerunners, Precursors, and Flood by Halo 6. Each inheritor of the mantle fighting for control. This is called the Reclaimer Trilogy after all.

Just my personal theory though. Might be way off. XD

Yeah, I seriously doubt that after reading about the Precursor during the Forerunner trilogy like we have so far, they won’t make an appearance during the Reclaimer trilogy.

The way I see it is that at first the humans will be fighting the Forerunner. Probably late Halo 4 or early Halo 5, the Precursor get involved. At the end of Halo 5 with its massive cliff-hanger that leaves the galaxy in a state of chaos and into Halo 6, we’ll see three-way battles between humans and their allies, the Forerunner and the Precursor. Or a variation of such.

When I heard the word “catalyst” I instantly thought ME3. But, anyway good idea but remember Covies have to fit somewhere in this formula.

PS: Hi Justin.

Haha, hey W1ltz.

Mass Effect 3 is awesome. Makes me kind of depressed because I don’t think any game ending will ever be better than that one…

I think the Covenant will play an extremely minor role in this trilogy and most will probably be allied with the humans (at least ex-Covenant).

Here’s to the Arbiter and Rtas 'Vadum tying up loose ends with the Chief.

Not sure about old Half Jaw but I’m sure Arby will be back.

By the time six comes out it should be built up for a massive war. That is actually quite exciting to think about.

What if you had the chance to pick a race at the beginning of this series. That would carry through to the others. So you have this giant war at the in campaign, but the campaign was played like a cross between an mmo and invasion.

Just a thought.

Hate to bring it up again, but Halo is not Mass Effect… XD

One issue. The Precursors aren’t fighting to control the Mantle, they made the thing. The Flood is not fighting for it either since the Precursors made that too and it is used as a means to an end to test a race for their ability to uphold the Mantle. Now humans are up in the queue and the Forerunners aren’t. The Didact and Librarian realized how their race failed at upholding it to begin with as well.

So, who honestly know those. I don’t work at 343.

You know after i wrote it and then read it, i said the same thing, but frankie said something about player’s choices having meaning, on what we do in campaign and matchmaking. Thinking aloud i guess.

Well, I didn’t mean to imply they were all fighting for the Mantle. My main point I was getting at is they will all probably be fighting each other in some capacity.

Makes sense. However, I still envision a more unified effort against the Precursors. After all, they present the biggest threat to everyone.
