Ok since everyone else is talking about rank, I thought I would put my two cents in. Remember this is MY fix for the Halo 4 ranking. I believe it needs to be a hybrid of both the 1-50 for the competitive players and the Halo Reach ranking system for the more casual players. In the competitive playlists, it will show that pretty number by your gamertag, but let’s say you chose to switch to a social playlists that’s where it would change to the emblem/credit system of Halo Reach. This would achieve two things; 1. It would please both sides of the multiplayer gaming crowd. and 2. It would lengthen the pliability of the game. Say you reach “Inheritor” or the Halo 4 equivalent of the social side, then you could try your hand in competitive side of the game. Or you reach level 50, you could then go play in social and rank up in that. And in both you have equal opportunities to earn/unlock armor. This once again would make both sides have something to work towards. I believe this would be the simplest and best fix for this whole “Multiplayer ranking” fiasco. Thanks for reading and See you in Halo 4.
Not really a hybrid. It’s like a ‘gang’ more than anything, with two members.

Um ok. Well, what ever it is, is it a good idea?
I like the idea, I’m tired of these ridiculousness named ranks (ex: nova, eclipse) that I’ve never heard of, then learning that all they mean is you probably suck even though you play a lot. I normally play halo 3 as I am not very fond of Halo Reach but I enjoy going “oh crap this guys a brig!” and whatnot when there is a high rank.

Well I’m glad you like it. I for one am more of a casual player, so I don’t take rank too seriously, But I still want something to work towards, that’s why I liked Halo Reach’s ranking system. But I also want the competitive side to be pleased with Halo 4 too.
