My Fix: Camo Camping

So along with many other people I don’t think Camo is as balanced as it should be when it comes to large maps. People often hide or camp areas with DMRs or Sniper Rifles and the game becomes extremely frustrating, and not fun. So for my fix I purpose that once any weapon is fired while Camo is active, the energy for Camo is immediately empty. Also make Camo deplete faster while stationary, slower while moving, and extend the recharge time. This way people can’t rely on Camo to stay hidden in their spot, and it would also promote movement.

I am aware that many other people have their way to fix the Camo issue, however this is mine.

Do you expect people with Sniper Rifles to run out in the middle of the battlefield? No. Active Camo is helpful for snipers and it’s pretty easy to counter it. People with Active Camo usually stay in the same place so just grenade spam. And it’s easy to tell if someone has Camo on and after a while, it’s pretty easy to see the cloak (w/ or w/out Promethean Vision).

Yeah, but if the person is good, you will die the first time around…

Umm there is literally no counter to camo sniping, at all. It is extremely cheap and needs fixed.

There are many ways to counter this style. It’s my style , I should know. A hint: vehicles.

The strategy has been there since halo 1, why complain about it now?

The problem people have with it now is in CE you found it on the map nowadays just about anyone can spawn with it.

Camo is one of the biggest problem with this game. It just promotes camping and playing very defensive. Also, often camo is used together with the boltshot which is sooo annoying.

I think your solution to fix the camo is really good, we can just hope 343i is doing something to the camo in the next title update.
