Just got hit today for a ban lasting a bit over 24 hours, and its cause I sent an agro message to someone on Halo. Im annoyed cause this was one of the few times ive ever bothered sending a PM and well just had to share.
Context: playing BTB CTF on one of the new maps, down a flag cap - I kill an opponent who has caster and before I can pick it up my teammate who has just gotten camo sprints over and takes it. Not the end of the world, so I see sniper spawning in a few seconds and decide i’ll get that. Same guy with the camo sprints over and picks up the sniper without dropping the caster, greedy, but not unprecedented right? Well to top it all off Mr. MLG then proceeds to follow me down and then also take the team’s Banshee… He had camo, caster, sniper, and banshee! As i saw him fly away, within the next 10-20 seconds got sky jacked and killed with our power weapons and burning camo. When the game ended, he had the fewest kills on the team and not even a single flag pull let alone a cap!
So at the end of the game after losing I sent the guy a message letting him know that he was by far the greediest scum I ever had the misfortune of playing with. He never replied, but today got an email from Xbox telling me I can’t play. Check my rep and you’ll see yourself its good overall. I’m not saying what I did was right (hell was probably wrong) but my god when I was playing, in that moment, I could honestly say I lost my -Yoink-

Usually you get a communications ban for messages or hate speech but you do not get banned form playing. Maybe you did other things before?
So, Justice is served? I’m not seeing the point of this post. You acted badly and now you face the consequences of your actions. Questions about the Live bans will be answered here.

Years ago I got a 48 hours suspension for dropping the F-bomb in my bio, so you never know.

Did you swear at him at all? Or call him names?
I find that in ranked games people are more of team players. When people do that stuff to me in un ranked playlists i dont mind.

He was referring to the ban thread that people are directed to anytime the word banhammer is mentioned so they can be criticized by other players for quitting games.
