My First Thoughts on the Campaign (Analysis)

RIP CoD…
Who am I kidding…go Burn in Hell!

343 has really outdone themselves. The have shown me that they know how to make a Halo game.

For starters, the beginning shows I large sphere come up and scanned John. I assume since it didn’t sit on John, it must be somewhat of a friendly. My guess would be the Didact, since he has befriended the Humans in Halo : Cryptum (I am still reading this, but I see his relationship growing atm.)

As for the 3 new enemies, the Watcher, Crawler, and Knight, I believe that all 3 of them are AIs, and not just the Watcher and Crawler. It says on Halo Nation that the Knight is a form of Forerunner, but the mutations would have to be very heavy, and I have never heard of a Forerunner with a skull as a face. I would like to find some confirmation on that.

I think the Light Rifle is similar to the Needle Rifle in this game, if that gun does not make a return. The Scattershot seems interesting. It shoots faster then the UNSC Shotgun, but carries less rounds. It also is weird to me how Forerunner weapons require ammunition to be loaded. I would not expect that.

At the end of the demo, we see some quick pictures. I saw this one and thought about the co-op campaign.

Picture Here

I would like to say that the two other ODST/Spartans are Spartan IVs, and could be the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th players in Co-op. My question is if you will be like the spartans seen in the picture, or will you change to your WarGames customizable spartan.

Lastly, we all notice that Cortana gets a little moody from getting old. She is about to expire as an AI. I am questioning who she was yelling at. The infinity captain? MC? A new character? Whichever I believe we will get very deep into Cortana’s “life” may you say, as well as Chief’s emotions. This I really look forward to.

FINAL ASSUMPTION

You probably read similar assumptions. This is what I posted on the 343 Community Forum.

“Chief crash lands on the forerunner shield world, only to find that the Covenant have broken their truce and have tracked his ship. For the first few levels you fight your way through the covenant until reinforcements arrive. You then begin learning more and more about the Forerunners who once resided there, and fight among their ruined buildings. Upon reinforcements arriving, a strange force pulls the Forward until Dawn into a crash landing. You then awaken the Forerunner Machines which guard the tomb or “Cryptum” of the Didact, in which he will arise. Perhaps as a friendly to help fight against the Builder who opposed him.”

Thanks 343. E3 looks awesome this year.
