It was strongholds and the game put a team of 3 (my team) against a team of 4. So my first ranked match in Halo Infinite was a defeat.
How has this problem not been addressed? Same thing happens in mcc sometimes. Surely it can’t be that hard for their server to detect an imbalance in teams and abandon the game before it starts?
No idea, they could at least have a bot on ODST difficulty take the place or allow the person who left to join back.

The question would be, what difficulty bot to add?
You could easily add a bot that performs way to well and carries the team, or put a bot on that does nothing to help the team at all. That sounds like a rather complex issue and just slapping a bot into the match might not fix anything, maybe even make it worse.
I would say ODST difficulty would be good, the bots gets kills, knows strats, and is somewhat competent.
Yeh the ranked system is a poorly designed mess. Cheaters on PC then dealing with player drop outs then dealing with some stupid removal of radar. It ends up feeling like a CoD match and it stress’s me out and don’t even get me started on how broken the aiming feels in ranked since I’ve got shot first with headsets in ranked and yet somehow I die first before the opponent can get the same amount of shots on me. The matchmaking system for ranked is a joke.
