My file browser isn't working

I know it isn’t working in general but I have heard people being able to search for people’s file shares. Mine isn’t working. I do:

Map variants->custom search->type in GT

I’ve heard of this bug affecting a few people. Here’s the fix that I’ve seen being spread around:

Send a Friend Request or Private Chat Invite to the person before searching for their gamertag. You don’t need them to actually accept it. Get what you need, then cancel the request/invite.

EDIT: Whoops, wrong problem! You don’t do a Custom Search by author; those are broken. Do a File Share Search.

The sheer amount of coding other other, more important priorities. Thanks David for the info, I will try that as soon as possible.

i tried that before and did not work. sorry David.
also it must be a big bug that they cant fix, or they are taking there time.
