My feelings on this whole aim assist circus

Here’s my issue with MnK getting aim assist. On controller you cannot snap turn or even turn as quickly as you can on a mouse even with look acceleration and high settings. Let’s not even talk about how laughably slow it is to look up and down on controller compared to MnK. If Aim assist is there to compensate for this difference why give it to mouse and keyboard players without doing anything about controller movement? And despite the popular opinion this actually diminishes the REAL skill of a MnK player.

I really think this is a misstep on 343 is part, and they definitely need to fix the magnetism bug ASAP.
Definitely gives MnK players an hug advantage with how much it “sticks” to other players.

I’ve never had quick turn issues on controller, ever. Also, if they revert the mouse aiming back to the way it used to be, controller IS going to dominate close range engagements all over again. Unless they slow down strafe speeds, mouse will never be able to compete against controller.

It’s almost as if you should disable cross-input when playing on a cross-play platform!

The game should recognize what control method the player is using and then use that as a filter tag to reduce the amount of games they could load in.

This way all matches are either Controller only or M&K only.

If 343 doesn’t add this asp the Pc vs Xbox war will undo any good will thay got from forge and the custom browser.

has your idea not been suggest all for a lot off time’s in a lot off diffrend KBM VS Controler threads by a lot off people.

that something like that is the only way to stop the war discusions for good between the 2 inputs.

Infinite needs some weight to movement. Someone can reverse their direction nearly instantly and it throws your aim off. Aiming in Infinite often reminds me of fighting Drones in past Halo games.

What makes you think everyone who uses mnk is on high dpi or sens? With high sens come accuracy penalties. The difference between mnk vs controller on looking around is not the big deal you make it out to be. Looking around doesnt get you kills in the end of the day where accuracy will get you kills. Mnk players on high sens will miss their shots and wont even be competitive.

I would say your right on this but the issue never was mnk vs mnk. The game is about 95% controller players and 5% mnk players. So objectively the changes do much more good than bad for mnk players. There werent enough mnk players left in the game to make your argument valid. It is a great change which has brought controller and mnk the closest they ve ever been in halo in terms of fairness.

This is funny. A controller player complaining about stickiness of aim assist while using an extreme version of that same aim assist himself. A bit ironic isnt it?

It is no where near the level of controller aim assist. Have you seen it? Better yet, have you tried it? This (KBM) level of aim assist is what controller should get.

What is the “magnetism bug”? First I’m hearing about this.

They have fixed this issue already in MCC…

It’s a bug because 343 already acknowledged that they didn’t mean that to be included.

They also meant to remove it again, but after players where so positive about it, they are keeping it in at the moment, but they will monitor how it plays out and if it’s not making MKB OP.

In general (so not specifically adressing ItzTheDay anymore):
I think it’s good that they keep it for now and jut watch how it plays out. Even though some people are making the difference way bigger then it actually is (and deliberately ignoring or downplaying the advantages MKB has), MKB was lesser then controller, so its good that they adress it. If these changes make MKB to strong, they can just as much adress it then.
