My Matchmaking gripes are as follows:
Arena.
- Spawns
I think we can all agree that spawns need serious work, there are countless games where myself and others have spawned right in the line of sight of someone (sometimes the guy who killed you) also spawn points need serious work in objective modes, Strongholds on The Rig is unbearable if you have BR spawn as your initial spawn, the game essentially spawn traps you the entire game.
-Motion Tracker
The 18m Radar is far too short range, it serves no purpose if you’re playing against people that move quickly, a guy can be on top of you before you ever see the red blip, as a long time Halo player I feel like the tracker is virtually useless and I’ve started to avoid ever looking at it which is a shame. Upping the range to 25m would go a long way to improving this.

Grenades
The nades are STRONG, when you play tge small maps it’s very noticeable how easy it is to score grenade kills and if you’re behind cover it’s almost impossible to escape the blast radius of grenades thrown at you. They need a very slight nerf in my opinion.

Modes?
What happened to all if the game types? I want to avoid Halo 4 comparisons because that game was garbage in my opinion however the lack of Halo staples on launch was a big problem with that game too, Oddball, BTB, Team Doubles, Multi Team, Social Slayer, in fact Social modes at all would be nice. Right now the variety is seriously lacking.

Ranking
I have a big issue with people’s rank placements right now they’re all over the place, I will concede that the issue there may lie with the game being brand new though so I won’t moan too much. I do have a big issue with the game matching me against people vastly higher or lower rank to myself though, if someone is rated poorly then I’ll have to live with that but I shouldn’t be playing people 2 or 3 divisions different to myself and it certainly shouldn’t match unrated player with those in a division already.
Warzone.
- Base Capture
Base Capture should be like a tug of war, if 9 Red guys are in Fortress but 1 Blue is hiding downstairs then Red Team should simply cap at a slower rate, it’s a little cheap and annoying that the one guy halts progress entirely.
-Spawns
Same issue as Arena, the spawns need a lot of work, sometimes I’ll spawn in the middle of nowhere, it’s even spawned me infront of an AI boss and I’ve been insta killed. Fun times.
-Capture Score
A score bonus or multiplier should be implemented for capturing and holding bases, currently the only method of winning is boss kills and player kills, the bases have strategic significance but offer no score bonus, this should change in my opinion.
Those are the gripes off the top if my head, feel free to post I’m happy to debate these points.
Judge
i pretty much agree on all of that but i think you missed the radar issue as well. i understand that 30m in the beta was too much but 18m is too little. it needs to just be the halo standard 25m radar.

Thread bamp! I agree on all accounts. I knew the radar was shorter but I didn’t know that the radar was that short. No wonder it reminds me of destiny’s pointless tracker. Half of the time i ignore it and the other half I use to simply see if someone is sneaking up behind me. I guess it’s good to not rely on it and pay more attention to what’s in your actual field of view. Number one issue though is definitely spawns. Spawning with bullets already in your mouth is never a good time.

It sounds to me like someone is mad that they got placed in gold division and are trying to scapegoat 343. Completely disagree with a majority of your points except for the occassional wonky spawn. TL;DR: He mad because bad…

But you can evade the grenades…problem?

Yeah, you in this thread.
Grenades are perfect. They need the power they have now to balance with sprint and thruster. I find it’s actually pretty easy to get out of the way of a grenade.

They need Radius to deal with mobility but not power.
