My Feedback For The Last Flight(s)

I don’t know if anyone has already mentioned these things, although I’m pretty sure they have, but the more people talk about them, the better the chance 343 will pick up on them so here goes;

After a little bit of playing, I have a few things to say about the vehicles. I think the damage indicators are pretty poor. There’s almost no visible damage. First few times, I had no idea the vehicle I was using was damaged to the point where it would blow up. One time, a Ghost blew up and I even saw a guy trying to get into it after it blew up because it looked perfectly fine.

I also feel like the health vehicles have is a bit too low because after driving away from being shot at a few times, it feels like they’re already done for. I’d bump up the health by 15% or so. Maybe 20%.

In BTB, I think the heavy vehicles should already be on the map at the start of the match. I like the idea of Pelicans dropping them in but maybe make it so that they do that for the respawns instead of late game. In some games, they don’t even spawn before the match is over or they spawn in the last minute or so.

I also think that explosions (in general) need more work. The color is off and it looks very low-res. In fact, it looks like they’re 2D pictures mashed together to resemble an explosion. I really hope this gets much more work because it was one of the issues I had in Halo 4 as well. Explosions were just bad and they were even worse in the last flights for Infinite.

As I’ve seen many people on other platforms say; the Plasma Pistol doesn’t have nearly enough tracking and they should definitely EMP vehicles like they have done in every other Halo.

The Pulse Carbine is very weird to use, especially in mid/close range. The projectiles just strafe past the people you shoot at, making it very inconsistent.

In general, something is off about the gunplay. Whether it’s the deadzones or too little aim assist, I don’t know, but I’m sure someone more technically inclined has/will figure that out.

The radar works too poorly. I feel like the range is way too short and even though it’s a step up from the first flight, it still needs some work. Please just make it function exactly like the original trilogy. It worked perfectly fine so no need to fix it.

The BXB combo, where you melee, reload and melee again, is broken and needs to go.

It would be nice if you guys bring back the ricocheting sniper bullets. That was always really fun to do.

Please just make it so that you can mix every armor and aren’t limited to armor cores. I feel like this is a huge step in the wrong direction because the whole point of player expression is that you can look however you want to look and not having that in the game is just not a great decision.

I also think, like everyone else, that you should be gaining XP from matches and medals too and not just be limited to challenges

I’m sure I’m forgetting some things. I wanted to write them down as they happened but I forgot so this was a rough draft of the most important stuff I can think of.

To end this “rant”, I’d also like to say that overall, I think the game feels great. It looks awesome and the sandbox is crazy fun. I know it may not seem like it after everything I said but I am genuinely excited for the full release and I want to thank everyone involved in making the game. I also really like the fact that you guys are actually listening to player feedback. Your commitment to make this game good is noted and thank you for everything!
