The bulletin was freaking amazing. I know there’s probably 1000 threads about this, but this simple fact made me literally shout thank you when I’m at home alone by myself. 343 will not abandon classic Halo the way Bungie did with Reach, it is pretty obvious of that to me. I am so excited to actually be able to enjoy Halo again. That is all.
Anyone saying it’s going to be a casual derp fest, I highly highly doubt it. I’m sure there will be plenty of derp, but it won’t be pure derp like Reach is.

In all seriousness though, i am glad someone asked that question. I think i would have died if Halo 4 revolved around bloom. Especially a bloomed BR >.<.
agreed, I was also damn excited to see the BR return, I do however hold back my ethusiasm untill I see real gameplay. Reach was awesome at first and now I regret buying the LE, so I am going to be more carefull with halo 4
The pistol has always remained a single shot weapon throughout the entire series. Hm… doesn’t mean much. Plus they didn’t say how many BR bullets it’ll take to kill a Spartan. If you notice, the bulletin dodged answering the question “how close to a traditional Halo experience will we be able to get?” Don’t get your hopes up too high, is all I’m sayin’.

The March update, seeing sprint as a default, hearing about perks, and the talk of random PW spawns made me very scared for H4. The bulletin calmed my nerves though. Even if they have some Reach-esque derp, I have faith that an amazing classic Halo experience will be available.

Honestly they would have to be idiots not to provide a classic Halo experience in a few playlists.
Also what does the pistol have to do with anything? And the I highly highly doubt the BR will be anything other than a 4 or 5SK.

They are more interested in turning Halo in to CoD as opposed to giving us a properly new Halo game.

Another thing I’ve noticed with 343i is they do listen,
They may not speak back one to one with there fans often (but theres alot of us!) but they do listen.
unlike many other game developers.
And this is why i love being a part of this community.

There just taking some advice from. Your acting they just implemented killstreaks and virtually no health and shields. I’m sure they are leaning more towards halo advancement, excluding cod.
They know what there doing, and you don’t know what’s a rip off yet

What I got out of your OP was that your faith had been restored in 343 because 343 said the BR will be hit-scan and will be a 3-shot burst weapon. CE’s pistol was non-hit-scan and single shot, Halo 3’s pistol was non-hit-scan and single shot too. See what I’m saying?

I’m skeptical, Halo 3’s setup wasn’t that bad, I mean the down side was when social doubles was removed due to Halo 3’s derp xp system, and the lack of a living dead and grifball playlist, it really didn’t cater too much for the social casuals. Reach however, different story…

If you hate the sound/ look of it that much then don’t play it.
Or you can accept there are going to be some changes and everything will not be what ‘you’ want like everyone else here.
