Who in the world designs the weapon skins at 343i !?
An amount of the skins are just plain UGLY! And some are just stupid, like the fries and pizza skin. seriously fastfood themed !?
As of just a few minutes ago I unlocked the “Prestige” skin for the assault rifle and damn is that piece of * horribly designed. Just like the “Fade” and “Green Machine” skins.
I can’t possibly be the only one to think so right ? Okay don’t get me wrong I freaking love the “locke and loaded” and “Boomco” skins, thought out Skins and not just somerandom pattern thrown on a weapon.
Heck the new versions of the storm rifle are also quite well done !
The wonderful thing about weapons skins is that you don’t have to use them if you don’t like them.
Once I unlock it I’ll use MisterChief 24-7. Mostly out of spite. Not at you personally, but at other people who have said less friendly versions of the same thing.
What confuses me even more than 343’s design choices are people who actually use them and think they look good. It’s like 90% of the Halo community has no sense of style. That, or they feel compelled to use whatever skin was the rarest they unlocked.

Hey I get it, my viewpoint might not be shared by everyone and that is also great, there has to be something for everyone.
However I just thought that 343i Could have spent more of their time designing these skins. And IMO fastfood themed anything is just plain stupid, I don’t want this to become CoD or something like that.
I personally love the “abe” and “chief” skin, I would gladly welcome more like those and also more like “Gold standard”.

Excatly man !
I unlocked a legendary skin for my magnum but I did not like it so I stayed on my wolf themed. But I often talk to people who just pick it because they just unlocked it or it is the “rarest” they have so far.
To me, when I say the trailer which contained the “Pizza” skin, I was so disappointed, they could add on much more thought out items or even improve upon bugs or something, but instead we are left with terrible skins.
I like most of them, the goofy ones the least, especially since 343 is throwing stuff out there like making the MP and Warzone canon. So if it’s canon, the military takes its manpower and money to spray some paint in style of a pizza on their ARs, yeah? That’s time well spent.
I also like every set of skin but the Green Machine and those white blue red ones (spiral or something). All others are cool with me, especially gold standard and some standalones like Lagrange.

There’s another aspect to it you’re forgetting – everyone has to see what skin you choose. Some people don’t like playing matches where everyone’s guns look like nerf blasters (some of them literally being nerf blasters). Sometimes you end up having to pick up somebody’s dropped weapon and it just feels dirty in your hands when it’s an ugly skin.
Also, there are a lot of people who don’t like every weapon skin being “sporty” and vibrant and they’d rather have something that looks more natural and canonical. These people have very few options, if any at all.

It is a common known fact that different people like different things. I like rockabilly but hate newer country and most rap. I like leather and suede while other people like basketball shoes and hoodies. The same idea works here. 343 wNts there to be something for everyone. My favorite weapon skins I have are vengence, steel and last slice (all for the AR). All this forum can accomplish is sparking arguements and taking up space.
I use gold standard on everything. Wish it had less black and more gold but hey I like them. I like some of the other ones to that are unique named for each weapon but have the same basic theme. The orange, white, and black UNSC ones. the rest are garbage imo
It’s like putting useless white lines on half of the armor sets in game, making the secondary color much darker on half of the remaining half of armor and making the undersuit colorful.
343 doesn’t care that we are soldiers, they think we are a futuristic rugby team with guns. It is “Esports” after all.
343 needs skin lessons. I want flames and skulls and ancient glyphs on my weapons, not a literal splatter of colors. The skins are so so soooooo bad in this game. Seriously why arent there skins like the steampunk ones in Halo 4, they should ALL be that quality
