Towards the end of Reach’s main lifespan I noticed a disturbing trend, weird lobbies filled with people playing house…and other unmentionable things like they were 8. I remember spawning into an assassination lobby with a friend and was horrified to see a massive spartan Orange Red Green Yellow going on at the top of the tower. Like WTF, does this actually “get it on” for some people. Another time I spawned in and was greeted with a fully grown woman asking me what if I would like to be the baby of the family. shivers
OOOH, how about marriages? I remember I was in a clan called HTTFH and our leader was getting legit married via Reach, it was so serious that someone actually played “Here Comes The Bride” through their mic. Afterwards when switched to a map called “Wedding After-Party” Our leader told us to not bother them, so we just messed around while the bride and groom went into private chat and went off to themselves. I got bored and decided to be sneaky and see what they were up to. Prepare yourselves: They were taking turns T-bagging each other; they would jump on top of each other and give their thumbs a mini seizure. But it gets worse. The bride then crouched and got as close to the front of her “husband” as she could while he would look up in the air and shoot. They did this for about 5 minutes then switched. God only knows what they were saying to each other. So while this was going on I had to turn my mic off from laughing so hard.
That’s just a couple of my horror stories, but who am I to judge other people’s…hang-ups. Looking forward to your stories as well.
P.S. Mods MSG me if this is out-of-line, I tried to keep it PG as possible.
Halo -Yoink-!!! Weird -Yoink- for sure!! It takes all kinds to make the world go round…
Wow that was probably the weirdest thing I read on here. Sorry you had to go through that…
In all honesty its one of the reasons why I still play Reach, going into assassination lobbies and finding these types of individuals is hilarious, I recorded a session where a player talked to a girl who did not have a mic in gamechat, he kept asking her where she was earlier and that he loved her, and that he wanted to go to that stripclub(guessing the stripclub assassinations map) with her. Made me laugh so hard. The gold though is when you stop that type of innuendo by killin them, they go nuts.

I can’t believe this is a thing! The world just keeps on surprising me…
My experiences in halo that were odd:
1: Winning a 1v7 grifball match (I recorded it as well)
2. Going into an assassination lobby with everyone against me
3 Seeing a guy on halo 3 with recon before it was released, name was x shipmaster
4. Getting recon on halo 3 without giving up on vid masters
5. Getting 85 kills on BTB out of 143 total for the team
6. Beating stacked 8 man teams on BTB on reach
7. Winning 1v2 team doubles on halo 3 and reach
8. When boosters on halo 3 actually left ranked matches and you had to clutch games 1v2
9. Custom game infection mode on halo 3, haunted house maps
10. When the first teleport out of the map variants came out on halo 3

Getting lobbied by people in assassinations is a basic fact if you’re an avid player, I swear the fact people call eachother family is ridiculous. I got booted offline by a reach player because I bested him in assassinations (AFTER bringing his friends to lobby and “hunt” me). The community is utter nonsense, especially in assassinations.

I’m like a magnet when it comes to getting teamed up on in assassination.

If you have flames, its like no one touches you- or at least in my experience, and I play it all the time
This community is more messed up than I realized.

This is just the tip of the iceberg unfortunately.
Honestly, this was hilarious, I believe I’m one of the most hated on AT, because of the sole reason I go around, and get these kids all angry at me to the point where they’ll send Clans, Mercenary’s, or just a good ole’ game of hide and seek in game, and they’ll stop if they can’t find me no more, but are more than happy to kill me if seen again. there’s this one player named John, who despises me to this day, and all because I killed his “Reach Family” he sent me a message saying he would destroy me harder than I could say “cheese” it was making me cry of laughter. I don’t understand why people take this game type to the next level.
This is why I stopped playing assassination. It was pure cringe in 2013-2014 but now it’s just dire.
