Hello, I just watched some videos going trough the emblems of Halo 4. It seems that the smiley-face emblem I always dorned has dissapeared? Or does it appear gradually?
Can someone who currently owns a copy shed some light on the emblem-list and unlocking process?
Is the Smiley (and other classics) going to appear as we progress? If yes, at what rank is it available?

Pretty sure you can unlock emblems by doing certain goals via waypoint, ranking up etc, don’t lose hope it may still be in.
isn’t there a list on some halo wikis with all the emblems for h4?

It is probably this. You will have to unlock it through gameplay.
As with Armour, you can not see all available Emblems when you start the game… Through Specializations and by Ranking up you will unlock Emblems.
Didn’t you know… they are “trimming the fat”…
Or at least that some peoples excuse here for justifying all the unbelievable cuts from this game… (1 flag, class ctf, bomb, race, vip, etc)

Thanks for that info, I missed that, I use the flaming ninja, always have and I have seen it there, be interesting to have to work for it.
I just need an emblem with an arrow in it… to, y’know, continue the legacy…

I guess this makes sense. Anyone know when the new waypoint will be up? I guess we will know then?

I’ve been using the same emblem since Halo 2 where I met my husband. My emblem was proudly displayed on my wedding dress http://twitpic.com/3p9ea and was also worn in necklaces by all my bride’s maids http://twitpic.com/2h2i2 - It’s become a huge part of who I am inside and outside of Halo. I feel lost without it.
If you’d like to discuss it with others that feel the same way, you may do so here Maybe if enough of us speak up they’ll bring our emblems back.

Whoah. Wow.
I hope the final word has not been said for classic emblems. And I have a hunch we might unlock them via commendation and/or section 3 stuff. (see separate thread “decoding section 3”) Seems many of the emblems in the chosen list confers with the ones missing from the classics.
If we find out that 343 didnt add the emblems at all, I will gladly sign the petition.
You have to Unlock them by ranking up.
A friend purchased the Halo 4 guide on Monday. From what I understand it listed all the Halo 4 emblems. His and Mine were not among them. The Valkyrie (my husband’s emblem since Halo 2) WAS in there.
I’d be happy to play lots of Halo to unlock it… but I don’t believe that’s the case. As of yet, no one has been able to confirm that my emblem is actually in the game. It’s certainly not in the guide.
I’m also upset at the fact that the heart and lips emblem was one of the few feminine emblems. Why did that one get the cut? Females play Halo and want to represent too.
