I have a lab (about 3 years old 70 pounds) and stupid me didn’t tighten the lid on a container that had 4 or five cupcakes with chocolate icing. HE ATE ALL OF THEM. Im VERY worried. Im seriously on edge i’m still getting over my cat from 2 years ago.
Hows he doing? Chocolate, or the chemicals in it, (i forget the name) acts very similar to Caffine in us and on Dogs, ONLY Dogs can’t digest it very well, so the chemicals stay intact in the body and become saturated, making its effect like 20x more powerful, killing the Dog in the process cause the Heart can’t take it.
HOWS HE DOING?
Chocolate frosting might give a tummy ache more than anything…or the poops.

he ate it about 10 minutes ago, he isnt acting any different yet.
I’m pretty sure that chocolate icing lacks actual chocolate in it.

Probably the icing wasn’t real chocolate, either way i’d be on the safe side and keep a watch on your dog…upset stomach is likely
Dont worry, most likely he will have diarrhea and maybe a stomach ache.
He will be fine. It doesnt have actual chocolate in it just artificial flavoring.
Thanks everyone… sorry i didnt mean to explode. Hes very important to our family.
If it’s quite a healthy dog, chocolate won’t have that big of an affect unless the dog eats a tonne of it.
My friend has a monster of an English Bull Terrier, very healthy and it ate like half a kilo of chocolate. No affect.
My dog ate chocolate for 10 years and lived to be 16

Yeah, but was he a "Chocolate Lab"? Because that does not count
So you made a thread…? Go to a vet if he shows any symptoms or if you’re that worried.
Have you called the vet?
A lab you say, have one of them. Anyways the bigger dogs tend to be able to eat chocolate without getting sicker than throwing up a little and sometimes not even that. My newfoundland has eaten an entire tray of brownies before (bad dog!) and he was fine.

Yeah, why trust the words of people on a VIDEO GAME FORUM on the INTERNET instead of a qualified vet!?
I understand that you care for your dog, but the appropriate outlet to direct your concern is a Veterinarian and not the Waypoint forum. Besides, we specialize in cats.
