My Custom Gametype - Fireteams (5v5)

I am currently constructing a gametype called “Fireteams”. I’d like to see what you guys think of my ideas so far

This gametype is my first shot at making a gametype, and is designed to support 5v5 on Forge-altered maps, trying to replicate Halo - War Games canon as close as possible while still providing a fun, competitive, and balanced gameplay experience. It was inspired by the Spartan Ops cinematics, and the War Games scoresheet from the Limited Edition.

Loadouts: Currently, it’s just Magnum and 2 frags.

Information:
Only UNSC weapons and vehicles allowed. You will spawn with a Magnum and there will be 3 Primary Weapons (one AR, one BR, and one DMR) and 2 UNSC Power Weapons (usually Sniper Rifle and Shotgun) in front of you and your team.

Eliminate enemies to earn points to call in ordnance from overhead. These ordnance drops will grant you a power-up, armor ability, extra Magnum ammo, or a special UNSC ordnance weapon (Railgun, Rockets, SAW, Spartan Laser, Sticky Detonator, or Frags).

Dead Spartans respawn in the same base they spawned in at the beginning of the game, with a temporary Waypoint on their heads for all to see, which will last for 5 seconds.

The first team to score 500 points wins.

Sounds like fun!
I’d love to try it out (if you allow us) when you’re done. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the concept of using on-map weapons to create a class-based gametype.

Though ordnance will screw everything up, as when people die they will spawn with only magnums and be forced to wait for the primaries to respawn in their base while the enemy team calls in ordnance en masse.

@Wild Bubblebutt - Yes! I was planning for this to be in my upcoming GameNight, but I have been forced to push it back to a much later date. You can come join us when I host it, if you want!

@Ramir3z77 - Perhaps. I have not played the gametype with others, so I’ll guess we’ll have to see how it goes. At one point I had indestructible vehicles, but since there are no Plasma Pistols or Stickies in this mode, I don’t think that the vehicles should be.

I’ll try to find a way around that. Perhaps the ordnance meter should take a long time to fill? Maybe even try to make the primary weapons spawn faster in the bases.

I think loadouts should also have the ‘Resupply’ Tactical Package.

Sounds interesting. I’d definitely want to try it out!
