Hello, I finally got around last night to completing 10 matches in the Team Arena lobby. I am horrendous at this multiplayer, but somehow was ranked Platinum 1 in Team Arena. Here is my embarrassment of a service record: Wyvern13. I was playing in Fireteam with 2 friends last night. One has a better KDA and slightly better win percentage - he is a Gold 2. The other friend was a Gold 1.
In addition to being Platinum 1, my score wasn’t going down despite being out-played in every match.
At best I should be Silver or Bronze. There is no way that I am comparable to the Platinum 1’s who we were getting matched with.
Is there some way that 343 can reset or update my CSR? While I am aware of how terrible I am at this game, being constantly matched against actual Platinum opponents is extremely frustrating. It is seriously like a being a high school JV football team being asked to play against Alabama or Baylor.
I concure
I think CSR is mainly dependant on your win-loss ratio only… I can honestly say I’ve seen people with a bad service record but a really high win ratio and they’re Diamond. And this kinda ruins the point of being “Competitive Skill” Rank since if you only need to win to rank up, then you don’t actually need skill.

Lol in the beta I was bronze until the last 2 days, in the full game I am platinum in every playlist
Im diamond 1 and I do alright in most of my games. I won nine of my ten qualifying matches.
I’m an Onyx 1500 in Swat even though I was going negative most of my games. I don’t think I won too many of them either. I am very confused about how this ranking system is working…

Yeah, some people in my clan suggested it might be win-loss, but I was at 30% when I got the ranking. Also, my Gold 2 friend had a better win-loss and KDA. I think it’s fubar.

During one of the weekly updates before launch, 343i confirmed that ranking is entirely dependent on Win/Loss. Although it does not appear to be functioning properly.
Its entirely on wins/loss i noticed this my K/D is double that but my wins was poor so i ended up in a low division.
I reckon its not all based on W/L, one of my friends won 8/10 of his placement matches and got placed in Diamond 1, I also won 8/10 of my placement matches and got placed into Platinum 1.
I am fairly sure it is similar to other ranking systems in other games where it takes into account the player skill of the opponents you face (eg a loss to a diamond team will drop you a lot less than a loss to a silver team)
